I must admit judging by Ba's latest quotes that he probably wont be with us next season, never seems to come and say he wants to stay here long term when hes asked about it.
Hope he does stay though.

Why would he or should he do that? If he says 100% he will stay and then we accept a £30m bid from Man U, he'll have put himself under so much pressure to stay and he'll leave on a bad note When do players ever say that they will stay for sure anyway? It's all just media speculation and he's right to ignore it imo. Like many players, he will be waiting to see how well we do this season and how ambitious we are in terms of signings and renewed contracts, as well as the options made to him before making a decision on his long term future.

To be honest footballers can put themselves in a sticky situation saying they want to stay for years. If Ba carries on the way he's started he could go anywhere in the world during the summer. Surely your fans wouldn't begrudge him that but if he said he wants to stay for 5 years and then leaves he'd be tortured by the fans and rightly so.
I would have thought his best mate joining us to play along side him would persuade him to stay.
