I’d definitely rest Jobe for Blackburn. Absolutely done nothing wrong but it’s just good squad management. Would use Pritchard or Roberts in for him.

The caveat is if Ekwah is out, Jobe should still play and drop deeper, with Pritchard or Roberts in for Ekwah

Mowbray said Dack might be back in midweek but for me that doesn’t sound sensible. Wouldn’t even have him on the bench. Let him recover properly

The fact is we now have a lot of players who deserve to start who won’t be, and a lot that will be in that boat soon. It’s going to be very hard to keep them all happy so rotation is imperative.

The more exciting proposition is that it should be we can make proactive exciting substitutes every week

Mad how we've almost got too many good players now, not going to be easy to keep them all happy but we've got the right manager for it, wouldn't change him for anyone.

The thing that makes it a little easier is that the lads we've brought in from abroad will probably be anticipating it will take time to settle in, and by the time the summer window comes about we might have made a couple of strategic sales to accommodate them.

With Ba at least if he is rested for whatever reason he will feel like he's made his point and shown what he can do and will pick up where he left off, on a high and full of confidence.

It wasn't too long ago we were all saying "how the hell does he get a game? He's absolutely ****e!" Now we're saying " how can they get a game?". We've come so far in such a short space of time and the club has come through such a transformation on the pitch in that time. I never get tired of reading about and watching these kids play. Mowbray had done such a great job in the time he's been here and he's got such a job on his hands now with all these talented kids wanting to just go out and play and some won't even be able to get on the bench and not forgetting that we've also got players out injured! I'm loving being a Sunderland fan at the minute, it's exciting to anticipate what side is to be put out and then to watch it. Yes there may be a few bumps but I think that the bulk of the team who went through it all last season will help these new lads tackle the choppy waters and come out the other side even stronger

It’s unfortunate that the two positions where we have injuries are the two with the fewest options.
Ekwah, if still injured, has Evans and Matete as replacements but both are not available yet.
Cirkin has Huggins but I thought he wasn’t fully ready on Saturday. Perhaps after a few more games he will be up to speed. The other option is Alese, also out injured.

it’s a pity our injuries were not where we have plenty of cover available and would give the likes of Triantis, Seelt, Jewi, Rigg, and the strikers some time on the pitch.

As many have mentioned, is the training causing the problems and if so what can be done.

If we don’t have a clue which 11 Tone is going to select how does the opposition’s manager do his team talk to counteract our tactics?
That last hour before kick off must be manic in the oppo’s dressing room <laugh>
