Constructors' Championship: relative performance for the most likely contenders as things stand, 20% into the season… Best chassis: Red Bull probably slightly ahead of a very compliant Ferrari. Best power unit: Mercedes (probably) but if so, now only by half a whisker from Ferrari. Best reliability: Probably too early to call but I'll plump for Mercedes. Best use of tyres: Ferrari / Red Bull. Best driver combination: Pretty much a dead heat. Best strategists: Red Bull. Best overall package: Ferrari. Most likely to back one driver and use the other to help in any possible scenario: … Most likely winner of this race? I think it's a close call between Ricciardo and Vettel !
You would have thought that they would have fixed the timing issues by this race!! I wonder if the paid for app is any better??? Not that I could even get it if I wanted to being in UK.
Any idea what is happening to drivers lips? Last race Riccy had big lump on his bottom lip and I believe had minor surgery to fix it. This race Vettel looks like he has issue on his lip as well!!
Funniest moment of the race sorted already, Ricciardo telling Lazenby he'll "sucker punch him in the stomach" if he doesn't stop trying to interrupt his engineer's briefing.
Renault seem to be doing well. I do wonder if a lot of the performance is down to getting tyres working well.
I guess they are not allowed on board tyre heaters? No idea how that would work but they need to understand how to get tyres working, the window is way too small.
What happened to Gasly? He was 7thish now at the back in 17th and 12 sec behind Mag? Surely just a pit stp wouldn't have put him that far back?
I would say 60% Riccy 40% Max. Reason I say that is Max seemed to move to cover inside, then moved towards normal racing line but by that time Riccy had so much overspeed he had no where to go.
