I cannot see this happening either but more about there own survival rather than strengthening a relegation opponent, did they not just sell shelvey to scum

They're probably in the same situation as us. Having to free up some space on the wage bill before they can spend.

He was probably on quite a high wage as well which they'd not want if they do go down.

Can't see it myself, why would they sell their star player to a relegation rival?

Also says a lot about our scouting system... They've had all this time since summer to find players and it comes down to, halfway through January, we play a team and Sam says "he's good" <doh>
Isn't that a similar question to the ones being asked about shelvey going to the mags?

Saying a signing is bad is different to claiming we were at the back of the queue for players we weren't even linked with or deciding bad negotiating has been a factor in a standard loan deal which involves a fee. The first is a assessment the other to a negative assumptions. Worlds apart where I come from. Jus' sayin'

My point was not really about the Ayew,s in particular (although I did use them as an example) but our chance to forge links with African football through our Ghanaian contingent a few years back, using John Mensah in some capacity, it may have helped the club in the respect of recruiting young up and comming players.. This would have been a better way of doing buisiness imo than trusting it to polititions, which sadly seems to have been the road we have taken recently. Sorry about any confusion caused :emoticon-0148-yes:

Asante Kotoko. <ok>

Its being reported here in Spain that we are in for him, could just be a re hash of Skys reporting.

A lad out here who says he is ITK reckons: Fletch is off to China, Graham to the championship. Says Johnson will defo get done for gooming but that's it, it will be down to a judge on how serious the punishment is.

Nowt mind blowing I know, just reporting what I have been told.

Well mate
He must be well in the know

Johnson will defo get done for gooming but

Ayew will not be going anywhere in January, maybe in the summer to a top 6 club, but the fee will be more than Shelvey..........<ok>

It would be very strange for them to willingly lose Ayew at this stage. Given their position, his importance to their team and the amount of money they would lose on relegation it wouldn't make any sense unless there was a problem behind the scenes or a raft of new players coming in.

The message it sends out about them alone is enough to drop heads. Plus... is he allowed to play for another team yet? I can't remember the exact numbers but isn't it 2 teams in 12 months? Maybe it's 3... Not sure.

I've heard a Chinese club are in for him but only at the end of his contract but expect him to sign for celtic on a free at the end of the season.
