Looks like we want to put in a 4 million pound bid on winger Fabian Cosello from Dallas in the states .I wonder if that sudden , maybe , bid has anything to do with Interest , or more than interest , in Ayew

Anyone know anything about the apparent 'knock' he has taken to keep him out of the Ghana v Canada friendly? Hoping it's just a 'giggsy' and he's ok for Stoke!

Andre Ayew picked up a knock in the draw with Tottenham
Swansea expect Andre Ayew to play against Stoke on Monday Night Football, according to Sky sources.

The forward pulled out of Ghana's match against Canada on Wednesday after picking up a knock to his knee in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham last time out.

Ayew scored and completed 90 minutes at the Liberty Stadium but did not fly to the US for the game in Washington - which finished 1-1 - as a precautionary measure.

Just in case you hadn't noticed - he's an African. They have beliefs, and practices, that are way past your pay grade and comprehension.

Not having the luxury of Western drugs, etc.,and living in the bush, the African,of necessity, sought cures for their ills elsewhere,i.e.,locally.
Now that entailed foraging, and trying out different materials, from boiling leaves, tree bark, etc, and drinking the liquid.
It was all trial and error.
Some of it worked, some of it didn't.
The ones that worked are still in use today, especially, but not exclusively, outside the large towns and cities.
These cures have been handed down, and even the likes of wealthy individuals like Ayew, are not blind to their use.

I can personally attest to the efficacy of certain leaves that are found in the bush, mixed together, boiled, and turned into local tea.
Despite PG Tips and the other rubbish tea being readily available,at a price, many Africans, prefer to brew tea in this way.
It has several benefits,i.e.,it's very cheap to buy,and it has considerable health benefits, not least of all, a very effective purgative.
I drank it almost every day, from choice, and would do so again, given the chance.

"Ignorance is bliss",or so the old saying goes, but in your case it's a hindrance.

So,rather than criticise Ayew for doing something that comes naturally to him,and telling him to "man up ffs",it's better that you say nowt - "ffs".

I guess this thread will now be closed,"for obvious reasons". <laugh>

Vetch, look at the injuries rugby players suffer and play the following week. He's a professional footballer in the Western world who will have access to the best medical care that money can provide. There is no need for him to be in Africa to get herbal treatment. As for closing the thread, don't get above your station it just makes you look silly.

I agree especially now that we've got two Holland and Barrets in town ,he could have saved himself a journey .

I don't know the why's and wherefore's of his reason for travelling home, for which I understand he was given permission by the Club.
I was simply responding to the possible use of local medicine's,which any African would place above such remedies purchased in a Holland and Barrett's.

You are the one who closes threads, particularly ones opened by me,where the name Laudrup appears.
You did so recently,"for obvious reasons",whatever they may have been, and numerous times last season.
You behave more like a dictator than a mod.
As for my looking "silly",well,I suggest you look in the mirror, and you'll see "silly" close up.

If there was anything serious wrong with Ayew there would be more emphasis placed on "Regular " medical help. With the way rumours are travelling about Liverpools interest in him and us looking elsewhere ,, I smell a slight rift.He went to get "herbal" help to show he can do what he wants imo.

and sometimes it's just a case of adding 2+2 together and coming up with 5.

Why would there be a rift? It's not as though the window has opened and we've blocked a move?I think we can all agree he's another player that won't be with us long given his ability. So it's sensible that the club are already looking for his replacement.
