Does anyone have any news on the possible loan arrival of Daniel Ayala? Is this window like the last one where we can still loan Premiership players outside of it until a certain date? I noticed that his potential move to Derby hasn't gone through yet, holding out for a return to us? Seems more likely now that Liverpool have learnt how to defend again and Carragher is probably closer to a return to the side.

Anyone with any insider gossip?
 
I think the loan window reopens a week or so after the january deadline. I think we'll see something happen then if at all.

I was sure the quotes about him turning down derby in preference to us were in the HDM but I couldn't find anything online...
 
Can Chester play LB ? if he can Ayala might be coming back.

Is this why we haven't gone after any defensive cover?
 
We desperately need at least one defender to come in, so I'm sure we'll be talking to the scoucers already about Ayala. His move to Derby seems to have gone quiet, so hopefully we're still in the running.
