240 days since QPR won away from home. Still, it’s 306 days since Sunderland won at home. Worth keeping an eye on. To be updated after each away game, in the hope of a rapid recalibration to 0.
Not a great lover of law of averages, but the theory goes that the longer you go without a win, the nearer the win must be. Or something like that.
Stiil can't believe that wasn't given, it's 3 feet over the line and the keeper hasn't touched the ball........and Atkinson is still bloody refereeing.......
I want to write something here...but have now deleted it... The internet won't know what I thought...I haven't blown it I am sure
The law of averages is sadly bullshit. Every time you toss a coin there is a 50/50 chance of it being tails, even if the last 10 tosses came up heads.
Was that the "ginger" boy Bogdan clawing the ball back and out of the net? Fair game to him, but the ref should have caught this, and goal-line technology now would have - poor us, poor Clint.
Good to come from behind, but a draw means......247 days since an away win. Forest, where we have never in the history of the universe won, up next on November 4th.
Has to happen sometime...... Still 2 easy home games coming up before the end of October, Wolves and Sheffield United, 6 points there and everything will be rosy......... Wine O'Clock.......
Just started. Viognier tonight. Though I’ll probably move on to red later to distract myself from Strictly.
Have to say I do like Viognier. Just opened a Portugese red from the Duoro Valley called Gloria Reserva 2014, picked it up in Aldi, scored 92/100 in a tasting, it's rather good. Should put this on the Review thread.
Tell me how it goes. My neighbour (Portuguese, Chelsea fan but more than tolerable) gave me a bottle of Douro - Crasto 2015. If yours goes down well it may well accompany the beef tomorrow.
Yes, drowning our poor sorrows, dulling St. Jude's pain - red, not rosy - will perhaps pop the cork of another excellent 2013 Langhe Nebbiolo this evening, even though my two bottles are meant to be kept for "special occasions", but Christmas is just too far off. The idiots at our state run liquor corporation still call it a red wine from Hungary, sb_73 set me straight that it is actually from Piedmont in northern Italy. Only 12 bottles left in close proximity to me. For some reason, on their website, they also decided to change the label from the bottles that are still on the store shelf.
