Hugely proud of the kids last night. Given how bad the first half sounded, I was dreading the second as I could only see us tiring and letting in a hatfull. But we reduced Swansea to running down the clock - just a shame the team couldn't get a point they deserved. Now we have a small breathing space to get some bodies back in, and maybe a striker or two plus a central defender.
Last night was still another defeat, but no blame attached there - the squad we put out suggests this one should have been called off.

 

After a shaky start, the young lads grew into it in the second half. I will include Conor Gallagher - easy to forget the lad is only 19, but even in the 97th min he was chasing down every ball. He is going to be an unbelievable player. Doughty should have scored, and Morgan started to spray the ball around as we know he can. The centre forward (Davison ?) looks as though he has a bit of promise. A couple of numpties behind me criticising Dillon for their goal, when the ball took a big deflection. The support was excellent last night and was appreciated by both the manager and the players at full time. The fans remain 101% behind Lee Bowyer and what he is trying to do.
