We always, always bottle it in front of a big away following. In summary, no creativity in the middle, and no pace out wide. What some of us have been saying all Summer. Reading were nothing more than tidy and well organised, like a lot of teams at this level, but they coped comfortably with us. The Tyreece Campbell experiment needs to end, he might be a good forward one day, but he isn’t at the moment. Ahadme will quickly become a target for the “boo boys” unless he snaps out of this trance. Our results so far this season . 1-0, 0-1, 1-0, 2-0 and 0-2 anyone else starting to see a pattern ?
Coventry went so far deep I thought he was going to end up on the goal line. I liked Campbell, but the creativity upfront is a shocker. Campbell has potential. This is no knee jerk reaction, the taff has made us hard to beat but going forward and creating chances is f****** shocking.
Well done to the travelling fans today - absolutely superb support. Forum Fan Sams (BB) says our midfield today was quote “excellent “ …nobody at the game would agree with the WUM.
Our away record this season is now in question. Wigan on the opening day was a good win, but they have now been revealed as a struggling side. Our victories so far have all had clean sheets. In our defeats it's our opponents who have the clean sheets. And one common thread seems to be a mediocre / average / unimpressive / so-so midfield. Possible to tolerate if we win the game. But not a good omen for a campaign where we need to be pushing other promotion contenders for the next 8 months.
I’d much rather have our manager react to a defeat like that, rather than the bland rubbish Appleton used to come out with .
