Yeah thought the same, fortunate to be given that penalty. Pratley looks extremely slow, and whenever he has the ball or runs a route no one in the Derby team even looks threatened lol.
FT 1-2 That was painful for at least 80 min. No fault attributed to the kids. I think we had 6 Academy players out there at the end. But a few of the others are running on empty, with poor Gallagher kicked from pillar to post tonight, and 3/4 others tumbled as not good enough. For the first time tonight I think we will go down without an influx of new players in January.
It's been obvious for weeks that Charlton will be relegated unless we get Williams and Cullen back on the pitch pretty soon, AND sign two or three decent players in January. The team had to put too much into scrapping out that win against Bristol City. These players simply cannot give that much every three or four days. So - do we run around like headless chickens screaming "Bowyer Out"? Or do we wait a few more weeks to see if Williams and Cullen do come back, and what the new owners can provide in the transfer window.
The defence is league 1 standard at best. How much time & space did their player have for that 2nd goal, FFS ?
I think Aneke could prove a few people wrong. But we need to rest a few players like Pratley and Gallagher, but we can't. Forster- Caskey has been out for ages, Oztumer was only going to be a couple of weeks. Lapslie and Hamed have disappeared of the face of the Earth.
Would have to disagree with you about Aneke, he is clumsy & slow. He won’t bother Championship defenders. Lapslie is a squad player at best. Oztumer was generally invisible before his bizarre injury. The less said about the two Brighton lads the better. Effectively we have two decent players to come back.
I take it your chum is going bananas, and the usual suspects say nothing/ignore what Ivor may say is valid.
