I know can’t go overboard with young Rio, have to manage him carefully and for a kid with his skill set it can be far easier coming into the team as a sub against tired legs when you have more ball and are attacking more.

But my god, the kid deserves a start. He makes defenders worried. Yes he’ll give the ball away, but his ability to run at players opens things up. We are slow and predictable and the way to open teams who sit back is to beat a ma 1v1. You do that and suddenly someone else has to come across and now you’ve created space in the middle. Either that or you win fouls in dangerous areas.

Not saying he needs to be playing 90 mins every week but in the prem he needs to get a decent chance and it might kick gakpo up the ass a bit.

Slot once again talking about how we barely conceded a chance - 2nd goal wasn’t even a chance.

Normally yeah that’s great. But if you say that after every game we lose and it happens constantly that not giving up chances but still conceding goals that suggests that when you do, they’re big chances and something is wrong.

Teams don’t need 10 chances against us to score 2 goals. And that is the issue.

100% - said similar weeks back, they go in because they’re not half chances.

Can only really think of the Fulham one where you shrug your shoulders

The problem is we rarely put teams to the sword when on top or play so poorly that it only takes one chance and we end up losing or drawing. Tonight’s game could argue Wolves had as many big chances as we did. They just took there chances where we didn’t

If an English club wins the Champions league and finished in the top four.
 
I would love to know what is being said at FSG about the current situation at the club. They are a sports business and what is happening now is very damaging. No CL will cause a lot of problems with player recruitment. Last night was the final straw. Time to end this dross

Think 5th is pretty much done unless every English clubs gets knocked out in the next round of their own comps which seems unlikely given have all 5 teams in the CL plus Villa palace Forest doing well in Europe.

It's Slots smart to bring behind; take defenders off, put attackers on. More attackers obviously means more goals doesn't it....

Slot's comments about him only being in the England 19s proves he isn't good enough it just ****ing stupid and extremely disrespectful. He needs to play for Liverpool to achieve anything internationally FFS, and why the **** would you criticise your promising young player?

Slot has been awful in the media side of things this year

It's all well and good when you're top of the league and answering questions about how good you are, it's extremely different when things aren't going well - and you're right, he's dealt with it appallingly. Waffle, excuses and damaging morale more often than not.

Whole season right there. When we need it, we **** it up.

Cruised through the last few games, where there was very little attention on them, suddenly back in with a shot at 3rd/4th and we lose to the bottom team.

Joke of squad mentality this year.
