whats it all about in simple terms?

the snippets i have seen say that priorities set up in the prem days will come back into force and regional supporters club members will get preference for away tickets.

I am a season ticket holder have not missed a home game in over three seasons and have attended at least half the away games including some long treks and some depressing times. most of the tickets have been purchased direct from the clubs due to pompey not being able to handle the tickets with the finance side of things in a mess or i have paid cash on the gate.

pompey will have no record of those attendances on their files so im guessing they count for nothing.

ok the reality of it is we might only struggle for tickets for newport and afc wimbledon. but should it be the case that people that have not bothered for 4-5 years should suddenly have priority over me?

any info would be appreciated

The way I've read, and I think I've read it right - is that priority will go to those that go to EVERY away game - that seems to be approx 250 people,
5% will go to the local groups (eg northern blues if the game is up north),
5% to other supporters groups,
next in line are season ticket holders,
and then any tickets left will go on general sale.

The club is about to introduce a new ticketing system called AudienceView which will be able to more accurately record ticket-buying behaviour of fans and create an individual 'benefits profile' to better ensure the most deserving get priority.

The AudienceView ticketing system will go live in September.

So as you buy your away tickets you will start building up a 'benefits profile' with your history of attending away games and your priority will start to build as the season goes on.

Oh, the other thing seems to be that if the away ground capacity is too small, eg AFC Wimbledon, then tickets will be allocated by ballot (however that works).

Thanks 3rd Eye, I'm in same position as Ant and struggling to understanding the new system.

Seems fair enough but still don't see why someone would attend all the away matches and not be a season ticket holder too, so maybe not a lot of difference other than small % goes to supporters groups too.

Oh right - I get what you mean now.

1) Priority will go to those that go to EVERY away game - that seems to be approx 250 people, it's unlikely that they aren't already season ticket holders anyway.

2) Because there are a lot of fans who can't get to Fratton Park enough during the season to justify getting a season ticket the 5% of the away tickets will go to the supporters group most local to the match. It isn't many tickets anyway, around 10 probably.

3) Another 5% to other supporters groups, most probably those who are nearer to the away match eg. the Clan Scotland might ask for tickets in the North England.

4) Next in line are season ticket holders who go to some away matches but not all of them.

5) And finally any tickets which are left will go on general sale for anyone who doesn't fit into the above 4, ie someone who attends an occasional away match.
