So we should just accept any old **** some 22 year old design student at Adidas decides to lump us with it? FFS, this club has established away strip colours going back to early last century. Maybe it's time we got rid of the boring predictable union jack and changed it every two years or so, maybe starting with a cobalt blue and ochre concentric circles affair?
Has David Blunkett taken up reffing? Let's stop pissing around with Grimmy-friendly trendy colours and get back to the tried and tested HCFC colours. please log in to view this image
I think this year's away kit is the worst out of the 4 they've done for us (white, sky blue then black now blue), I don't hate it, but the others were much better. I have no problems with other colours appearing as away kits, but would prefer the secondary colour to be amber on each one, like the brilliant old burgundy and amber 'IBC' kit. That said, Sky blue and white have enough historical ties too.
Heritage and identity count little for Nike & Adidas most of the time. English football is revered worldwide for its role as the inventor of the game and reference point for all other countries. Why would anyone choose to ignore that? From a design perspective, simple and timeless colours piss on 'busy' nouveau designs dreamt up by clueless acolytes. From a Twitter perspective, it's the close season, there are no Euros or WC so any old **** would get the thumbs up from the braindead.
Different people have different opinions. The trick is to not act like a twat when you are in the minority by calling everyone else brain dead. I happen to think your argument is a load of crap, should all English teams steer clear or any neon tops and stick to good old fashioned traditional colours. The vast majority like this kit, it's a bloody away shirt if you don't like it don't buy it.
Actually, the opposite normally happens, most people normally moan about everything, so getting a positive response is quite a surprise. It would bode well for our away shirt sales, if it wasn't for the fact they've got Cash Converters written on the front.
i prefair last seasons away kit and i hope it is kept as 3rd kit but i think this one is quite good and will be proudly wearing mine around poole/bournemouth when i get it!
