I worked for them 20 years ago. They bought out Cussins homes then put everyone on their notice, all of us plasterers took their offer and got a nice lumper then started for the contractors they used. I disliked them as a company but they were as good as any other at building houses so you should be ok buying from them. Are they including the Freehold Janey? Good luck with the purchase. Ronnie
It’s an apartment so they can’t do freehold, but there is no ground rent and the freehold is for 999 years. I’m not sure I’ll be around when it expires I had a look at the show home, not quite completed and looks to be a decent spec. Ive been looking since March and had all the questions I wanted answered today, so now I’m just mega excited, but good to know they are decent at building houses, so thank you x
Good luck Janey I would edit screen shot as can see your address, there are some dodgy characters on here
Thank you, it does, I know there was cynicism on SMB about it, that’s not a criticism of SMB, I shared some of it, but I don’t now x
I did like getting a DH postcode. In fact that’s the first thing I said to me mam when I rang after signing up, I’ve got a DH postcode
Nice 1 and good luck but as stated earlier might pay to hide the full address. Spirit was being polite when he said "dodgy characters" .
That's the site we were at when the takeover happened, we got bladdered on the Friday and back on the Monday for a contractor. I plastered about 50 of the Cussins houses and one for Miller homes then got work elsewhere. We couldn't stay on the Miller site, we were given price targets 35% less than when working direct to Cussins. If you got one of the houses I plastered I hope all is well and nowt fell off. Ronnie
