Lucozade Carribbean Crush... really delicious and as with all fizzies, makes me as thirsty as hell. Nevertheless, the chemical based pineapple cuts through well and while I really enjoy it "neat", I can't help but think it needs a little something mixed in. Any suggestions?
So how many eggs did we all get for Easter? Remote, you don't count because of your advantaged situation.
OK, I'll only list the chocolate ones. A dozen or so. Mrs Remote made up goody bags of eggs, chocolate rabbits and other choccy things. All one bite big.
So, 4 weeks ago on Thursday, I had my argument with a concrete panel. Still having treatment. Stitches, stitches out, antibiotics and now honey dressings. I was back to the hospital on Tuesday. They wanted to remove the scab as its still gunky underneath, and I was not the best when they started pulling at it. I told them that if I stopped talking I was probably having an unintentional snooze. Apparently, honey is highly antiseptic and promotes healing. So a gauze impregnated with honey is the latest thing. Mrs Remote is acting nurse (steady on cling). Another review on Friday. It's definitely looking better. The side effect is the dog seems to like the honey dressing so his nose is stuck to my leg regularly during the day.
Ooh. Ouch. Yes, I know all about honey on wounds around the ankles. I had an allergic reaction to it...thank goodness as it stung like hell. It's good stuff though and forms a tough barrier against infection. It sounds like you're getting good treatment and that things like venous ulcers are not allowed to develop. Are you still in compression? It doesn't surprise me that you're popular with the dog at the moment. "Leg of Remote" the canine alternative to leg of lamb. Well done Mrs Remote. I hope you're showing your appreciation. I bought Easter Eggs for my regulars. Hope you continue to heal at pace now.
Another one for the nerds amongst us. Just to take some pressure off, I'll just mention putting some pressure in to keep the pressure up. You can't get much further away from football - I'm talking about tyres here. A few of the existing tyres on our vehicles have an annoying habit of losing pressure over time - not a lot and not slow punctures through damage either, just minor seepage past the rim beads. I've had them removed and beads cleaned before refitting in the past, but eventually the seepage returns. Just a couple of PSI a week but bloody annoying. Fed up with getting out my plug in tyre pressure pump, opening the car doors, plugging in the jack plug to the lighter socket, trailing the lead around the car (never long enough to get to all wheels from just one door). Then having to re-wind the cable back onto the spool before packing away in its case. Thought I'd do something about it over the Easter break. I decided against a new simple footpump because of my age so instead looked at these new fangled (to me anyway) lithium-ion battery powered digital inflators. Ordered one yesterday afternoon on Amazon and got it delivered before noon today FOC - wonderful logistics to be fair. Now onto the merchandise. Unpacked it (it arrived fully charged), super neat and unbelievably small, screwed in the airhose and went around the cars checking all the tyres inflating where necessary. I must say I haven't been so impressed by a piece of kit bought for a specific purpose since I got a L- ion jump starter from the same source about 7 years back. Yes I know it's Chinese, but it looks and feels super quality. If Trump doesn't want them, send them over here. Just topped up the in-built battery with the USB cable supplied - it didn't need much - and it's all set for next time. Now I can't wait for my tyres to lose pressure to use it again.......
I've been having an issue with one wheel. Had tyres changed a fortnight ago and my pressure warning light has just come on. I think it's all the Cheshire potholes.
