It was not a pleasant watch. Scrum OK, lineout OK, everything else.... ...meh. 10 phases side to side and 30 yards back. It's like the Swansea way for rugby. Dupont is a force of nature.
The WRU know that whoever they appoint won't change our fortunes. The issues run far deeper and its of their making.
You're absolutely right. As a small nation there are bound to be times when raw material is scarce. However, "the committee" manage to find a way either to compound an existing problem or, to create a whole new one. They need Vince to sort them out.
Mrs Brizzle reckons we should get the spoon carved and turn it into a love spoon. (I've educated her well)...
Just reading the latest Jack Reacher book. Half way through, Reacher finds a number of fake drivers licences in a guy's wallet. A couple names listed rang a bell. Turns out they are all (ex)footballers. Cameron Archer, Daniel Ings, Dean Saunders, Dalian Atkinson and Kevin Richardson. Lee Childs is a Brit, so could explain it. Not important in the bigger scheme of things, but made me smile that I'd spotted it.
Not read that one yet. Will add to the list for Mrs BfB to get from the library. Read all of his so far. I find it so ironic that professional dwarf Tom Cruise has played 6 ft 3 ins brick sh!t house Jack Reacher in 2 or 3 Reacher films. No criticism of his acting ability but he must have stood on a bloody big soap box.
The latest is In Too Deep. Another co-authored with his brother Andrew. Don't think they have have the depth of those when he was writing alone. I'd heard that Cruise bought the rights to the films which is why he's starring in them. 7 inches too short and 5 stones too light. Alan Ritchson is more the build in the Series that were televised by Amazon Prime Video.
With mam still with us and not fit to left on her own, me and Mrs Remote have been like a tag team going out. Not been doing as much at the farm of late as it's not fair to leave the house for too long. Anyway, needs must. Daughter and partner off skiing with some of his family, so I've been pressed into action. I've got a lllooonnggg list. I'm more out of condition than usual. Mucking out, bedding up and feeding cows today. Time for a beer.
$h!try day today. After meeting the stocking truck to see 210 trout put in our club still water, I headed off to check the sheep. I checked them on Sunday when all was fine. Parked by the gate, through a small coppice and to the field. Not a sheep in sight. Found where they'd got out. Through another field, through a hedge and into someone's garden. Got them back through the hedge easy enough, across the other field, but would the bl00dy things go back into the right field. Half an hour and they were back in. Some toing and froing with daughters boyfriend in France before agreeing on what to do next. I wasn't a happy bunny.
It's like I've taught you nothing. Don't dilly dally with wine, in times of any level of stress, you must go straight to the good stuff.
With the state of Cardiff footy and Wales rugby, I'm starting to lose interest. All very negative. Daughter not having a great start with the lambs either. 5 lambs born on Monday, not one survived. Autopsies done and waiting for the results. Fortunately after a few tractor issues, we seem to have fixed them and she's running sweet again. The saving grace is that as spring is arriving, the fly life on our club lake is increasing and the trout are starting to rise. Had an enjoyable day yesterday casting small imitations to rising fish and deceiving quite a few, landing 8. Now, if only we could get 3 points at Blackburn and sneak a win against England, the world would be a happy place.
No chance of a double. We're 7-33 down at half time. There would have been long odds on the double this morning.
