Ouch! Make sure you get all the glass out of the wound. No wonder Mrs Remote won't go window shopping with you. More expensive repairs on the tractor?
I was thinking more like get the wound out of the glass. Nasty one Remote. Hope all heals well. Red wine tonight will help.
Starting with a beer. Need a restorative after the shock, so might follow up with a rum. Daughter could do without another bill. After the loss of those sheep, she just got a £900 vets bill for the autopsies and medication. A £150 bill for welding on the topper. Now a new window.
I was in town a couple days ago. Everywhere there were knitted pineapples fixed to railings or bollards. Apparently, Northwich is having a Pina Colada festival tomorrow. https://pinacoladafest.co.uk/ Rupert Holmes will be stoked.
Not gone out of my way to watch, but I've seen bits of the paralympics. Fascinated by the ability of some of these 'disabled' athletes. Some of the cyclists with missing limbs are absolute machines. One guy missing a leg just below the hip showed immense power with one leg. He seemed to be doing as much work on the upstroke as down. Last night there was a female archer with no arms. Held the bow with her foot, a strap over her shoulder to draw the bow and a release mechanism activated with her teeth. Accuracy I could only dream of (I did a bit of archery as a kid). And the wheelchair rugby and basketball....... An inspiration and puts many of us 'able bodied' people to shame.
I am totally in awe of them. Ok, many have specially designed prosthetics nowadays to help, but just the sheer determination and will power the athletes show is beyond imagination. When you look at how feeble society as a whole is becoming (people crumbling at the first signs of adversity, people on long term sick for what are often in reality minor or intermittent ailments) these people are absolute inspirations and should shame so many other feckless or lazy feckers into realising their "issues" are minor by comparison. Please note this isn't a swipe at everyone BTW, I fully appreciate many people do genuinely suffer in so many ways, but hopefully you get my gist. A prime example was given to me the other day. A friend owns a hairdressers and brought in a new young trainee... She lasted 1.5 shifts after going home on her lunch break on day 2, she just didn't come back. When she was contacted by our friend she said she was just exhausted and it was all a bit too much for her... All she'd done is sweep the floor, make some hot drinks and was someone's hair I believe.... During her shift she had to be asked to remove her headphones more than once... Bless her little cotton socks... Needed a lie down after her exertions, yet meanwhile back in Paris a one armed no legged swimmer has just broken the world record for 100 metres backstroke
And that's one of your pedigree herd I fear!!! Looking at the ladies in attendance, remote, I wonder very much why ewe are interested in the sheep!!!!
Tempted with a bit of feed and looking perky enough. A neater job than the doctors did with some of my rugby injuries. The fun bit will catching her to get the stitches out next week.
So today I have been mostly hiking around the Wye Valley for Macmillan Cancer Care.... Gentle little yomp..... Definitely getting Mrs Brizzle to run me a bath to ease my poor old achy limbs!
Just to forewarn you butts, from Sunday Mrs mole and myself will be making our annual tour of the Principality, (well Llantwit anyway). Unlike other years, we won't be doing Glyn Ceiriog or Chirk, but I could be persuaded to call in at ***ins, Taff's Well for a couple of beers on Monday if a local celebrity from here is available.
Reference to f@g I think. That's an a in the middle. Same problem with the name of our defender F@gan-Walcott. Woke numpties.
