the water's ok until it reaches the delicate bits.......................... then all bets are off !!!!!!!!!
It was a mad first 5 overs. The way the Indian bowlers started I was amazed to see they were still only 3 down and needing a few runs to win.
Refreshing to watch a one day match without endless slogging for a change. ps the guy selling blue Indian replica shirts must have made a mint
Getting fed up with this rain now. Everywhere is sodden. Abandoned hopes of a last trip to Scotland after salmon before the season finishes at the end of the month. Checking on sheep is a chore, struggling through the mud. The goats are sulking and won't come out of their stable. Much more fussy about under hoof conditions than sheep. The dog doesn't mind the mud, it's being hosed off before going in the car he hates. Off to see if I can catch a few trout at our club water shortly. I take a 91 year old fella out every week or two, every 2nd or 3rd visit I make. He can't manage a boat on his own. Fair play to him though, no matter what the conditions, he's out there. I'll be happy if I can still be fishing when I'm 10-15 years younger than he is.
Good that your mate can still enjoy his fishing. Mind you at that age it won't be long before you can use him as bait. Those goats aren't dull are they?
He's got over 30 years head start on me. Only met him a few years back when he joined our club. Just left him. He's heading home. I've come to do my chores. Whenever I take him out, I only relax after he's caught a fish. Today he had 3. I can hear the goats shouting. Think they want their tea. They won't come out for it though.
In fact it's encouraged in many arts related circles - and weathermen, newsreaders and airline cabin crew.
Daughter has qualified one of horses for a regional competition so we're at Aintree this afternoon. She used to do show jumping on him. He was eying up a couple of the fences as she was riding him down to the arena.
This was him back in the day. He's mid-20s now so just does a bit of hacking and a few shows. Nothing too strenuous.
Here they are this afternoon. 50+ in the class so it's taking an age. First time since I started my dry November that I've fancied a beer. Especially with Mrs Remote stood next to me, glass in hand.
Found out this afternoon that Fergusson has moved into the village our small holding is in. Wants to be near Darren and the grand kids. Didn't know Fergie junior was in the neighbourhood. Anyway, hope his presence isn't going to push prices up in the local.
Took a mate out trout fishing on our club still water today. After being minus 5 overnight, we had to break ice to get to open water. We had to re-break the ice to get the boat back to the jetty. You can see the path we took. Surprisingly I caught 5 trout.
I'm sure she used to use balls of some kind in her act. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/lifes...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar RIP Vicky.
