If my English teachers thought someone said that about my writings, they'd never believe it.<laugh><laugh><laugh>
English was never a strong point.
Scraped through 'O' level English Language. Totally bombed the Literature paper. Don't think they had a rating low enough.:emoticon-0136-giggl

Back home now - didn't get to look in on here yesterday travelling back, so logged on this morning whilst others do the sorting out on return.

Amongst other things, I see we've had another visit from Vetch, postponment of the weekends games and a healthy exchange of views on a recent event.

On the first, repetition is par for the course for him - no harm done. On the second it looks like opinions are divided about the postponments, but again no harm done. On the third, opinions obviously vary but perhaps better we move on. <ok>

Good to see you back. Hope you had fun, didn't get arrested and avoided Perroni comas (I think he was a singer).

Cheers clingo. Was hoping to see a couple more swallows in the park, but alas not this time. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Having said that, giving the dogs a walk across Thame cricket ground yesterday on the way back, there were quite a few of the flying type swooping around us just above ground level. There were dozens of them and came within a few feet before veering away. I assume they were stocking up on flying insect food before their arduous long trip south.

Yes, it's quite an experience getting buzzed by Swallows. I used to go to Tewkesbury and sit by either river or the canal to enjoy the experience.

Interestingly, there's an increasing number of Swallows that have become year round residents. Global warming I would imagine.

Ps. Just got the reference to the other kind of swallow <laugh>

Yes, don't talk with your mouth full and make an early decision to spit or swallow. Back to the feathered kind again.

Not if you look at the predictions for the Hull game!!! Then again we've communally never got even 30% of the possible max so who are we to comment!!!

We're just being thrifty and trying to avoid unnecessary positive charges.
Or maybe we're akin to neutrinos and neither negative or positive.
And this post is scientific proof that while I don't need a lack of football to talk complete b*ll*cks, it certainly increases the risk.

It was a black rat once …. The warden in our camp picked it off with a 2.2 pellet plus two others

You see them regularly on nut feeders so long as there are woodlands close at hand.
    A striking bird.
