Shearing done. Everything a bit cooler now. Just hope they seek out shade and dont get sunburn. No before and after shots just an in progress shot. Hot work handling 80kg animals. The tups are even worse at 100kg+ And I was only the shearer's asistants gopher. Finished off feeding one of the orphans. Much more managable. Guzzled about 3 litres of water and juice while working. Just topping it off with a litre or two of beer. A glass or two of red then, just to finish things off.
Good luck for tomorrow Robbie. I was hoping to revisit the 3 Point Arena next season but if Cov are in the Prem that is an acceptable reason to miss out - unless we draw you in the Cup.
The lambs are drinking beer and alcohol? They are going to taste well. Put me down for a couple for the freezer.
Hope you're both enjoying the unique seat experience (ooh err matron) Just over 8 an over to win then. Had a look at the score card and it seems a good game.
Was a very good match in the end. Glam threatened to turn it into an easy run chase at one stage... Cue much quieter crowd. But we then had a wobble, gave them some hope only for us to dash those hopes with 5 balls remaining. Nicely finished with an excellent 6... Cue just a handful of cheers including myself.... Mrs Brizzle less than impressed
Dickheadford being "politically astute" as usual. He really is a pathetic piece of work. I cringe when I hear anyone being described as an "academic" = not in touch with the real world!!! https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/...kCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
On a motorbike tour in Germany at the moment and just met some guys from Midjttylland motorbike club. Which is where Sory Kaba is on lian from . Anyway they have never heard of him
Sounds like excellent fun (not that I can ride a motorcycle)..... So if they've never heard of him then surely they won't miss him when a group of bikers take a detour and kidnap him, ultimately delivering him to a "secret" location in South Wales where he will take up a new identity of "Regretful Taxia"
https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/news/gloucester-news/cheese-rolling-2023-put-six-8487642 I think someone was asking about this a couple of months back.
I was going to ask if it was in a golf buggy? I have played (very badly) the Millennium Course at Vilamoura while we were in Portugal for my daughter's wedding. A lovely course but my clubs preferred to play the rough not the Fairways. I had fallen while running in the morning and bruised my thumb. That's my excuse anyway.
Surely they should just roll the cheese not try to eat it as they go along? I would be very tempted..... How long before the H & S numpties get thislong standing, very popular, event banned? It's a mad, mad world.
Even better if you could drink a couple of glasses of red on the way down. Dorking in England hold the Bacchus Marathon where the drink stops involve consuming wine not water. It gets a little messy after the 15 mile mark. The Medoc Marathon in France, a beach run, does the same with the added incentive of completing the course before the tide comes in.
