Got a week being a pretend Jack during July (week at the family caravan in Devon) but Mrs Brizzle and I are contemplating a bit of an exotic break around September.

Potentially Maldives or Mauritius, or perhaps the Carribbean.... Have to wait and see how things pan out.
Not been to any of those before so if anyone has any tips I'd be happy to hear them.

Taking the wife to the Carribbean?
    Jamaica?
    No, she wants to go.

My hint is go to the Carribbean and drink rum, lots of rum.

Likely to be Portugal latter part of September and early October for Mrs BfB's birthday. Not booked yet but Ferragudo probably destination. Went to Vitor's Village last year. Lovely destination and reasonably priced. Eating out in Ferragudo very good.

Portugal again early November where we have 9 years to go in a pre booked 5 star resort at Quinta do Lago. Fingers crossed weather will be good as in the last 6 years. It is very good and their Winter deal means no management fees. Result!!!

Will be in Poole for 3 weeks in July.

Sparkey is keeping quiet about his plans.
However, a mate of mine at BBC has told me that a bloke from Porthcawl has been approached to present a new nature programme called "Dogging Watch"

Although Porthcawl is a second home to Vince, I'm convinced that it's Sparkey my mate is talking about. After all, he does have self confessed experience in such activities.

Didn't know what to watch on TV tonight. I did some painting but it dried too quickly to watch. Couldn't bring myself to watch the sequin prancing mime show from Saltypool.

Going through the channels and found, on Sky Arts, the Queen Magic Concert from Wembley, 1986.

Saved, proper band, playing their own music, singing live. Magnificent.

Got to go, Radio Gaga being played.

37 year old show. Probably eighty thousand plus there. If I was a betting man I would say half of those there would still say it was the best show they had ever seen.

I have seen several Queen tribute bands and Queen with Adam Lambert at the O2 last year. All very good but a lasting regret is never having seen Queen live with Freddie out front.

It's about 2 hours along a real ****ty road on the way to Hamburg! Mrs FfB keeps saying we need to go there sometime. I'm not convinced....its a sort of an area of natural beauty. Lots of walks and fresh air! Very German!

no honestly they are great people very slow living so don’t expect like the yanks do snappy service it will be service with a smile …..did plenty on the island and was surprised when i found out there was already people living there before the Europeans arrived with African labour bought from African slave owners and we wiped them out

oh well was good ground for sugar cane so needs must <laugh>

    Nice sunny day in Engerlund.
About to do some tidying up at the small holding.
Got the petrol strimmer off the wall for the first time in 12 months, mixed some 2 stroke and filled it up.
First pull after the 3 priming pulls with the choke out and away it went. Happy days.

Did similar with the pressure washer a fortnight ago, started first time. Unfirtunately, every time you put load on it, it starves of fuel and stops. Need to strip it down and blow it through.

Need to get the big flymow out at some point. Confident that the tractor will start first time though.
