Congratulations to Sienna, mum, dad and grandparents. Lets just hope her surname isn't Brown.

I was just stood in the stable Mrs remote keeps her goats in and a swallow nearly took my head off as it came in a rate of knots.
Got a good, if brief, view of it from about a foot.<yikes>

First one Ive seen this year though there were plenty sand martins swooping over our club trout water yesterday, which is only 400 yards away.

Swallows have nested in that stable off and on for 7 or 8 years.
There were 6 or 7 young fledged there last year.

Not sure what they'll make of goats as neighbours though.

    Always nice to see.

    Brecel is some player.
Extraordinary potting, and swift to see the angles to lay or get out of snookers.
    No messing about.
Think he brought the best out of Selby as well.

I think it's the best final I've ever seen.

Great comeback by Selby, but fair play Brecel was a worthy winner.

    Two great players!

I thought Selby was going to win it but one miss after 3 brilliant frames, game over.

Such small margins and sustained mental as well as bodily strength needed.

An excellent game of snooker. Very different to the other sports we chat about on here.

Supreme effort by Brecel to take his chance after not potting a ball in 2 1/2 frames.

You wonder if his late finish in the semi affected Selby's start.

Brecel knocking balls in from all over and his attacking safety shots meant Selby had to reciprocate.

This match was never going to be a late finish as they rattled through the frames.

    Entertaining to watch.
Even the past winners were waxing lyrical. A big endorsement.

Today, I shall be mostly introducing the locals of Cambrils and Salou to the Ayatollah.

Our running club went to Cambrils for an event in February 2019. Lovely little town. On the Sunday after our run we were sat on the promenade, rehydrating :emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer:.

The local pharmacy had an illuminated sign above the door that showed the temperature every 20 seconds. It was 26C at 3.00pm on an afternoon in February!!! More :emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer: was needed.

The Spanish take their running very seriously, no Parkruns anywhere in Spain or Portugal, they didn't get 30+ drunken Welshies sat in the sun drinking copious amounts of booze after a serious running event.

We caught the train to Taragona on the Monday. Another nice town with quite a bit of history - and plenty of bars.

We thought we could stay but then f'in' Brexit buggered that up.

Never mind though we have ventured to Florence, Brescia and Murcia since. No one has banned us yet. <whistle>

Away from football this weekend I will mostly be avoiding the coronation.

Not anti-monarchy per se, just much ado about nothing.

For many royal events over my lifetime I ran for the hills and went fishing with my dad.
Kate and William's wedding was the first royal occasion I fished without him. Dont believe in the afterlife, but he was in my thoughts.

Think I'll just keep my head down on the weekend as I was on Claerwen on Wednesday and will be on Clywedog on Thursday, both of which I often fished with him.

Same here Remote. It doesn't float my boat but for those who enjoy it, crack on.

I won't be fishing but will need to find something to occupy my time. I had hoped to work on the back fence and lawn but the weather looks like it will stop that.
