That's devolution for you. Just heard we don't automatically get the tax reduction to 19% in Wales. Prickford and cronies have to agree it. And they want a separate Wales. I wouldn't give them a separate play pen.
Yeah devolution where we get free prescriptions. All my family pick up prescriptions at the chemist of their choice.
True but you don't get your pharmacy of choice in Bridgend. You go where your told. Devolution absolutely stinks as does the badly dressed, tee total, anti football idiot in charge. No World Cup fan zones. £1.8m spent on diversity, inclusively and promotion of the archaic Welsh language. First time in the World Cup Finals in 64 years and the muppet in charge in Cardiff wants to favour a bunch of self serving snowflakes If he was on fire I wouldn't pi$$ on him. Own up, who actually voted for the clown?
No argument there Hilts. That tosser should never be allowed back in the borough. Trouble was his many and varied personal issues came to the fore after the blue wall election. Great at running away from car accidents in high heels and a mini skirt though.
Think I may stay away from football more often given the result. I'm not as big a jinx as clingo though. A farming day today. Moved about 60 ewes back to base ready for tupping. Daughter got all bar 1 in with the dog. The one seems a little unwell and kept lying down. Ended up carrying her 50 yards across the field. Decent workout as she weighs about 80kg. Back to base to some bad news. For no aparent reason, one of the tups had curled his hooves up. A bit short notice to buy another so 2 will have to cover the ewes instead of 3. Now that was a work out. Trying to get him in the trailer to move. About 110kg. An awkward shape as well. Hoping that is the last of the excitement. Just got in after 9 hours of labour, covered in sheep **** and ready for a beer having not jinxed the city by following them on line.
Popped out for the day today on a family visit to my nephew's place. He's a single dad who moved up to Troedyrhiw a year or so back. I've not had chance to visit due to covid, work and general everyday life (oh and hitting my deadlines for publication of Matchday threads ). I've never really been up that way before so was pleasantly surprised to be taken to the pub below.. proper "locals" spit and sawdust type place but had several pieces of Bluebirds memorabilia on the walls (though not quite as full as my Pick and Shovel bar!)
Our running club takes part in The Castles Relay from Caernarvon to Cardiff over 2 days every June. Covid excepted. We normally marshall the stretch through Troedyrhiw on the Sunday. Always an interesting place especially when some roads closed for improvements. The locals don't like adhering to changed traffic priorities. Takes longer to drive to/from the pub. Some interesting phrases choices...... And I'm not talking Welsh or English.
As alluded on another thread, I'm becoming more and more energy concious going into this winter and am making my voice heard in this house. Why the hell boil a full kettle everytime you want a cup of tea/coffee? We've got one of those Dualit things with a visual water level window that tells you exactly how many cups is in there - why fill it to the "6 cup" mark when you only want 2? (literally) Another thing (or three). Why use the washer/drier to dry clothes, bedding etc other than on a rainy day? You could wait that extra day to do it - what's so sacrosanct about "washing day"? On goes the bloody oven for warming everything - what's the matter with the microwave? Lights left on all over the house - can't they switch them off every time they leave a room? It's been pointed out that I should turn off my special "beer fridge" that holds my stock - now hang on a minute, there's only so much a man can do.
Thanks for asking FfB. Had her stitches out on Friday. Still a lot of healing to do, but getting there. A lot of bruising coming out. Still got her boot on but hopefully get that sorted in the next couple days. Probably going to be with us for a couple more weeks. She's lost quite a bit of confidence. Once the boot is off it'll be easier as it unbalances her. She can stay as long as she wants but she's very independent and wants to be back to see her friends. She'll be back up for Christmas anyway.
