I think the ONLY way to get the best out of K.J. is to improve the midfield/play/possesion. As someone above said. Why is it that either Matty or Jermaine are stuck on the halfway line? Or in our half not our opponents. It's because of this cage system which only T.P. has a clue as to how this actually works because I honestly do not.

Easily sorted by... purchasing a couple of good ball player's who can hold the ball after winning it. THEN, tell K.J. to stay up front, not ask him to chase a lost cause half the time.

Having said all that.. IF Walters can do it, K.J. should along with him. And, I don't think he wins enough headers or flick-ons. One thing that Mama will do is win most things in the air. Which is why I would love a Kevin Philips type forward. Fast, good feet and knows where the goal is. Dissapointed with Jones so far and I hope he gives it more effort this season...

Just a thought but.. is this why I heard T.P. say we are looking at bringing in two strikers. Here's hoping he does. If needs be why not look lower down the divisions?

We Stoke fans are a fickle bunch are we not?
J Walters was pretty despised for a good portion of last season, often being described as "Championship" quality; his performances over the last third of the season turning him into our hero.
The people we have been linked with as forwards are in the past, also targets of our ire.
Crouch was a cheat who went to ground to easily, Bendtner was a fancy Dan, Cole totally useless, and the only one I can think of, whom we all seem to rate is Rodallega.
I dread to think what we would make of Darren Bent, who operates exclusively in the operation penalty area.
I will bet you today, that our midfield will muster zero attempts on the Norwich goal and Walters and Jones will be leftr to totally fend for themselves.
Think about it - Sidibe, Beattie,Kitson, Jones - according yo us, none of them are up to the mark; too me it is to easy to blame them, and overlook the fact that our system makes it extremely difficult for a Centre Forward.
I also appreciate some of the wonderful things that Mr.Fuller has done, but has everyone forgotten his petulance that has led to 4 sendings off, the fact that he sitsfor two minutes on his butt, waiting for the foul that is never awarded, and for every great goal he scores, there is usually an equally glaring miss (Blackpool at home 1 minute before they scored?)
How about taking a punt on Nicky Maynard?

swervy not by me mate....... from day one I said he was a class act, you could see it in his approach. He struggled to blend in at first because to be honest I fet like he was too good for us. He was quick brilliant in the air and gave 100%. The reason why I felt he was too good was because and as is the same now, he wins long balls in the air and there is no one to run on to them. Also he got up front that quick with the ball he had no one to pass to. Him and Kenwyne don't play together, they are always yards apart instead of feeding off each other.

Agreed. I also thought from the start that Jonny had something about him that would ultimately benefit us. I think when KJ turns it on he is unplayable and I actually think he played well against Chelsea and Thun in the first halves, and worked hard. I'm not KJ's biggest fan at all but I don't think he's played that badly this season so far.

Regardless of whether we rate him ore not, he just doesn't fit our style of play - but then again - who does?
