I lived just down from Tufnell Park tube very briefly. I left because I was offered a contract in Norwich that took me up to the time I needed to move to Cambridge! I went from the Holloway Road surrended by dodgy geezers selling iffy cigarettes on street corners to the Golden Triangle where I shared a house with two young female art students who wandered about in bath towels all day.
Ex Mrs, i don t think shes bothered about footy but lives 100 metres from the Emirates stadium........ My eldest was a mascot for the friendly against NY Red Bulls...... I took the small ones with me to see Palace away and got them singing our chants........ They are Canaries...........Luckily Arsenal have won nothing since my boy was born so he hasn t been tainted yey.....
Blackpool was the first game we had a decent defence, its no wonder the games previous didn't go well. We now have the players to do well and we will improve. Whereas with Norwich, you've played 4 games with the team you're stuck with until jan at least. Promoted teams are usually at their best in the first few games but you've been poor, not enough quality going forward and when the rest of the team realises you can't score their heads will drop and you will really start to struggle.
We have nt been outclassed by any of the 4 teams, we drew 2 and lost by a silly goal yesterday, when we settle down the points will come... Nobody is knocking the players the board or the team... If we are struggling at christmas we can strengthen where needed... I predicted that we will finish 12th, and nothing i have seen has changed that opinion... You lot have bigger problems, Jewell has not really inspired confidence in the team or fans... That is fatal
To say you 'weren't outclassed' implies that you showed more class than the opposing team. How can you possibly say you outclassed Chelsea and even West Brom. Both showed better 'class' than you when in the final third and that will be the difference come the end of the season. QPR are the only promoted team I can see staying up as they have the quality going forward. Your only hope is if teams like Wigan, Everton, Blackburn etc have a dreadful season. Work rate and enthusiasm will only get you so far in the Premier League. Blackpool relied on a similar gameplan of buying cheap hungry players and playing with incredible work rate and enthusiasm and they had better players than you and still got relegated.
Since when did weren't outclassed' imply that you showed more class? What happened to evenly matched and in the same class? Is there no middle ground when it comes to discussing poor little Norwich?
Has anyone seen Guru this morning ? More importantly, has he calmed down yet ? Three new posts yesterday about Norwich losing would indicate that there is little to talk about with Ipswich at the moment. I am glad we have been therapy for him. Do Ipswich still have a football team ? Perhaps his anger management classes are starting to work.
By outclassed i mean we were within 1 goal of a result in all our games, even against Chelsea we were drawing 1 all until about 70 odd minutes......
Afternoon Treacle, Sorryyou have missed me, very important business meeting today. I think the thing thats irks me so much is your fans like Superman that paint your side as some sort of saints and the premier league survival would be easy, whats wrong with saying 'you know what we didn't get the rub of the green today, but thats how its goes', instead of whining about every single decision, and that every ref hates norwich. I think its an insperation (sic) to every club the way you have bounced back, but his totally biased attitude detracts from the great things happening at carrow road.
He did go a wee bit OTT, we have had some shocking decisions in all our games but its not worth getting a hardon over it.... We need to score more goals than the opposition and we haven t so we havent won yet......Simple...
i think its people like you guru who irritate me the most! you seem to quote me on many things - none of which i actually say!! you are the person who as i stated yesterday, see EVERYTHING against city, whether it be right or wrong. at least i see both sides of an argument. i had a gripe with the officials in every single match so far - because i'm right to - but i have also laid out why we are being our own worst enemies. how is that any different from any normal football fan around the country? i love my club and if it gets abuse from people like you i will defend it, especially if, as is often the case, its totally unjust. you do exactly the same and quite rightly. i expect you only read the top half of my post yesterday lamenting the league; if you read the second half it is all about what WE are doing wrong - thats the whole point of a forum. to discuss and argue different points of view.
The point with you superman, is that you can't accept a differing point of view. Many people have said that Grunt dives or goes down easily, yet you come out with the same old drivel and portray him as some kind of saint and that every free kick he wins is legit. Of course i am going to pick holes in Norwich, ITS BECAUSE I AM AN IPSWICH FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You talk about arguing different points of view, that is totally a joke coming from you, because as soon as something bad is said about your club, you start blubbering on about how unfair people are towards norwich. I find this totally slag the premier league off arguement a total joke, and its just because thing have gone against you, if you would have had a couple of wins i very much doubt you would have even thought of posting that rubbish. Smacks of being a bad loser if you ask me.
and that excuses your repeated input which was no more than taking an opposing view on nearly everything said? I had placed that thread forward to be raised in to an article. Surprise surprise it was not accepted as it gradually ended up with you and any Canary on the thread having an argument. Bad form fella
i most certainly do not portray him to be a saint - i think his disciplinary record will show that he isn't. i posted my annoyance with the premier league because thats what it is - an annoyance! i didn't enjoy the experience last time out and i suppose i'd forgotten how fake the whole thing is. as i say, it doesn't mean i don't want my team in it! its merely a point of view and i'd feel that way irrespective of results. i love the competitiveness of the championship - it harks back to a different age when anyone could challenge at the top and it wasn't all about looking good and the media. it has literally nothing to do with being a bad loser, although of course i am a bad loser! i hate losing but lets face it, you get pretty used to losing when you're a norwich fan!! i just find that you are so incredibly aggressive no matter what point (if there is a point) you are making. you're no jonah though... only kidding jonah!
