It is a bit of a dilemma isn't it but let Brad go and yes keep Gomes. If the competition is too close for Lloris I think he being a sensitive soul might want to leave and there'd be no end of takers. He gave an ultimatum or two last season like "play me or else." I'd have Gomes for Europe and see what Archer can do but I wouldn't shake Lloris' cage too much.

I think the point of the article was to look beyond Brad and Gomes to see what the future held in that area.
It would be a good idea to try Archer in the pre-season to see if he has what it takes.

Where is OS- his opinion would be a great indicator.

I always stood up for Gomes until the Chelsea game where he cost us the match with the goal that shouldn't have been. Ok it didn't go over the line but it was a shocking bit of goalkeeping in the first place. Don't get me wrong some of his saves were absolutely world class and I tried to excuse the howlers before that point in the hope he would come good.
I also used to get frustrated with Robbo before him whose big weakness was always getting beaten by long range shots.
I would stick with what we have and if Brad is injured stick one of the younger keepers on the bench. We will never know if they are good enough if we don't give them a chance.
