The expectation level has gone up for Spurs managers since May 2010. As others have said, the next manager will need to be able to deal with that, and not make excuses about squad size/talent/injuries, financial clout of the club etc.

Hopefully the next manager will be so outraged by the antics yesterday that BAE will be loaned out to perhaps a club in the league below in the relegation mire. Or perhaps his "fitness" is such that this time he can be sold to one of those summer suitors in France etc.
