You only have to look at AVB's signings to see the type of players he is interested in which tend to be clever, technical and forward thinking i.e.

Mata, Lukaku, Meireles, Torres, Romeu, Cahill.

We definately need more players like this in our team.

    Ancelotti...sorry, Roman Abramovich bought Torres.

But out of the contenders in for the job I think AVB is my favourite. Think he would get the fans backing over Martinez.

We also lost the best head of sports medicine money could buy in Dr. Brukner and I'm not really sure why. His work has paid off. I heard we'd had the fewest days out because of injuries.

I got tired of hearing that Lucas could only pass backwards and sideways. Notwithstanding a successful sideways pass after a tackle to win back the treasured possession AVB speaks of is A Good Thing. But here he is at the height of the Lucas-bashing era playing two forward passes, to Kuyt then Ngog:

TBH this interview only made me think AVB should go into coaching coaches. His man management at Chelsea was awful. He's no Bobby Robson, for sure. Notably, that seemed to be something those Liverpool players who went off Rafa blamed most.

Really? We kept losing key players like Gerrard, Agger, Johnson, Aurelio, Torres on a consistent basis so I felt that it wasn't working as well as it should.
