In Autumn the colours are yellow
And green, almost where´er you look,
And the ´canary´ is one chirpy fellow
Or if not, he should be, in my book,
To take a quick look at our neighbours
Especially those nearest to home,
Puts all of the fruits of our labours
Into perspective, how far we´ve come,
Finances steady and stable
Where three years ago things looked black,
Debt-free this year if we´re able
How´s that for a stunning comeback,
Enjoying a run in the top tier
Where few could have seen us again,
Academy status in top gear
Our club run by capable men,
And that in itself is no foregone
Conclusion, these days as we know,
Some clubs are lead by a gorgon
Who´s only sitting there for show,
Attendances are overflowing
Both home and away for our games,
And adding more seats as we´re growing
Is one of a number of aims,
Players and staff still all pulling
The same way, despite changes here,
And certainly no signs of dulling
Of the passion we saw last year,
