    What a week.

    Lost on Saturday.

Injuries to Ryan Hardie and Mustapha Bundu, seriousness yet to be revealed.

    Storm Ciaran.

Boiler packed it in on Monday, declared BER (Beyond Economic Repair) on Tuesday, new boiler to be installed tomorrow.

Back up electric immersion heater, normally not used due to cost of electricity, discovered not to be working on Tuesday. Now reliant on my daughter's electric shower for cleanliness and open fires for warmth.

    Now this.

    https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sport/football/plymouth-argyle-defender-brendan-galloway-8872800

Our fragile defender Brendan Galloway, not yet declared fit for the Argyle squad, is to travel half way around the globe probably to be injured on international duty.

Ridicules .....Argyle pay his wages...they should refuse to release him until he has fully recovered and is regularly playing for his employer.

Not a good week for you notDistant....nearly as bad as my week awhile back which was topped off by having two wasp nest at the same time.

Mustapha Bundu's injury is not seen as so serious and will be back in possibly two weeks.

Ryan Hardie will be out for longer....but a time scale isn't being put on it .

It gets worse: in the last few months it's been a new tumble dryer, new dishwasher, two new ovens and now a new boiler. The fridge isn't right either. Oh, and in May, a new battery in the car, and that's not just a few quid either.

Must be something in the water. My daughter's tumble dryer went caputt last week and yesterday my cooker went and took the electrics with it. I didn't realise it was just the cooker and thought there was a power cut. Realised not a power cut when the lights didn't go out so got my neighbour, ex electrician. to have a look at my magic box. He pressed this and flicked that and the cooker and other stuff came back on. We were in midst of cooking tea. The oven would not heat up so then knew it was the cooker that had caused the trip. I'm just glad, with all these electric things packing in, that I don't have a pacemaker.........

To be fair, the ovens were new when we moved and so have done 12+ (?) years service. Previous to that, we moved so regularly, nothing had a chance to wear out. Once, we spent 6 months in a not-very-nice rental before eventually buying a lovely house. Eleven months later, I got moved and we had to sell it and start again!

The top oven is a combination microwave and oven and gets constant use even if it’s only for hot milk for far too much coffee. My daughter has already exploded an egg in the new one while hard “boiling” it! Who hard boils eggs in a microwave? Who knew you could? Who knew it would sound like a hand grenade? I nearly had a heart attack.

Boil the egg in the kettle....or be revolutionary and use a small pan.

The new Five Year Plan is the lead item on the Championship page of the BBC Sport website this morning.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67302922

They pick up on the Academy development but the new training facilities using the Goals site has gone missing as has the purchase of land behind the Mayflower Stand. No doubt many will scoff at the idea of Argyle getting to those lofty heights but there is a rational plan here based on infrastructure investment to provide the platform to grow the team. It's not just the waffle you hear from many club owners.

Looking beyond this Five Year Plan, we know the Club is thinking about how ground capacity could be increased. How it will be paid for is another matter!

On that point, I see that Liverpool's new stand is nearing completion.

    https://www.liverpoolfc.com/anfieldroadexpansion/plans

As I understand it, this has been built around the old stand so that there's been minimal loss of match day income during the build. Owning the land behind the Mayflower makes that a possibility although how much of the existing structure could remain is I should think questionable. Perhaps the new lower tier could be kept.

It seems that Derek Adams is about to become Ross County's manager for the third time.

Just been reading an article about how Morgan Whittaker is starting to get himself noticed with his scoring ability cutting in from the wing.

Eight goals from seventeen games is a good return........four from the last five.

Morgan who is 22 years old certainly got noticed on Saturday with the opening goal against Sunderland....cutting inside from the right wing and still outside the penalty box.... he let fly and arrowed the ball inside the right hand post....giving the keeper no chance at all.

With the January transfer window only a month away...there must be a few clubs taking note of a player who is scoring roughly one goal every two matches.....even though Argyle paid out £1million for him this past summer... clubs will always pay good money for a proven goal scorer.....Argyle need to hold on to him at least until the summer to make sure of staying in the Championship this season.

Last seasons saga with Swansea recalling him in the new year....and trying to sell him on to such clubs as Rangers....which came to nothing in the end....and Swansea unable to give him much more than short bit parts for the rest of the season....making him look like a five minute wonder....you just had to wonder if they deserved to have such a young talent amongst their squad.

As he says, he feels loved at Argyle, by the club and by the fans.

Let's not carried away: that goal isn't unusual for him: I swear he's scored at least one more almost exactly like it. Do not let him run across the box with the ball on his left foot. It's footballing suicide.

I still maintain he's not playing in his position. I still think he's better as a 10 but let's not gripe.

On the bench no doubt. Bundu’s had two run outs as a sub so may start.

He needs to start if he's fit....we're totally void of a striker otherwise.

He won't start so soon after such an injury, otherwise we could be without him for the rest of the season.
