Lewis MacLeod has returned to Home Park after a negative Covid result.....he had been suffering with a temperature and cold and had self isolated until his negative result.....this has put his training back after recovering from his recent injury.

Surprised at that, strikes me as a pretty calm customer.

Not that hard to get a couple of yellows from some Refs these days is it. Our next one has handed out a few.

I see that Ben Garner has been relieved of his post as manager at Bristol Rovers....he took over the job when Graham Coughlan moved on last December.

The EFL Board will allow up to five subs from this weekend (Fri) per match....Championship clubs can name nine subs on the bench....whilst Div 1 & 2 clubs can name up to seven.
This will obviously favour bigger clubs who have larger squad depths.

NO.....I just checked when we started winter last year it was December 11th ......there was no reason why that date of course....probably because I thought it was about time....but we can do it at the beginning of December if you so wish.
Winter doesn't officially start until the winter equinox...which is Dec 21st I believe ?....day and night of equal length.....but hasn't the whole year of 2020 been a continuing winter of depression....with just the little glint of light of being promoted.

That is the astronomical equinox: the sun rises to its lowest level of the year and it's the shortest day. That means winter starts in early November and ends in early February.

Temperatures continue to fall after December 21st though so the meteorologists consider winter to be the months of December, January and February with mid winter in in mid January.

As a compromise, perhaps we could use the date when Sensible puts his central heating on which I think coincides with the 3rd round of the FA Cup.

Still got another duvet to put on yet so nowhere near Winter in my house. When it gets too cold for me under 3 duvets I let the good lady join me which extends the non heating a day or two.

Fans are to be allowed back into sporting venues.

As usual, the Government are talking nonsense with the arbitrary 4,000 limit. AFC Wimbledon have a capacity of 4,800, Sunderland 49,000. Where does the 4,000 come from?

Bad example as Wimbledon have just moved into a new stadium but we still have:

    Accrington 5,500
    Fleetwood 5,300

    and

    Ipswich 30.300
    Sunderland 49,000

    all within just one division

4000 or 30% whichever is the smaller notdistant. However, it's still stupid.

Apparently it's because there's a worry about how fans travel to and from the grounds. Which 4,000 will it be at Old Trafford (capacity 76,000) and White Hart Lane (capacity 62,000)?

    Still, it's a start I suppose.
