September is here and we are moving beyond pre-season very soon....starting with two home cup competition matches....then the league starts on September 12th with yet another home game and that will be against Blackpool.

A lost year...... and a very disturbing one. Never has the country been more divided. Right v Left. Leave v Stay. Young v Old. Black v White. Rich v Poor.

    1.....Right v Left.....always been.
    2.....Leave v Stay.....since the 1970's.
    3.....Young v Old.....always been.
    4.....Black v White.....always been.
    5.....Rich v Poor.....always been.

Not so different really....just more civilized......back in mediaeval days a pandemic meant.....getting your dead outside for the daily cart collection....no vaccines to help....just waiting for nature to move on....and the survivors to pick up the pieces and start again.....of course in 1665/66 a good old fire helped the job along.

Cartoonist Matt in the Telegraph today

Picture of parent arriving home ......after picking child up from School.....and then taking the childs face mask off....says to the other parent......"I hate these primary school face masks....I've brought home the wrong child again".

With a 3 year contract there's a good chance you'll see him in the flesh before his contract runs out.

I know. It's ridiculous. And a player we've had on loan and who's been a success too. Normally that absolutely guarantees they get signed up by someone else.

The possibility of Calvin Miller joining Argyle seem to be fading....with George Cooper now on board the possibility of Miller being first choice are now dimming.

Ben Reeves is still training with us and a decision over him agreeing a deal will be decided in the next few days.

The requirement for a third keeper has been highlighted even before a serious game has happened....Luke McCormick is sidelined with a shoulder injury and we need cover before he will be fit..... with us starting serious competition this Saturday there is the possibility of a keeper coming in to cover for Michael Cooper.

To be fair I can't see much wrong with any of the signings.

Not so sure about McCormick......I thought we got rid of him last time because he was becoming a bit iffy.

Plays half a game against Middlesboro and ends up with a shoulder problem...I can't remember him getting a knock although we weren't allowed to watch that game.... and of course at 38 things don't heal so quickly.

Michael Cooper is looking okay at the moment and to bring in a more experience keeper would mean that Cooper isn't moving forward.....but Lowe is giving him the chance he deserves.....so a loan from a Championship club might be more advisable than an aging keeper who needs a third keeper to cover for him.

A third keeper does needs to be on board....but keeping them all employed will be a problem.

I might be unfair towards McCormick but I felt he left at the right time last time around.

Knows the club inside out and doesn't cost a lot I would reckon so as far as I'm concerned for a back up keeper is ok.
