Charlie Austin scores with his first touch for Southampton. Amazing!
 
There are a bunch of Poole Town fans who put £150 on him to score for England at 50/1 (mean odds) years ago.
 
2nd touch. He won the dead ball and I knew he was going to score somehow. As the quote above, United players seemed to move away from him, as if saying Good Luck Charlie, help us get Guardiola in quick.

He had a contract offer on the table since last summer but wisely kept his options open. Not sure the club can be blamed and 4 mil for a player with less than six months left on his contract is surely as much as you could expect. But yes painful seeing score elsewhere.

Should have sorted out his contract after the Play off final but Redknapp didn't.

He lives in Berkshire and is from the south so Southampton was always a place he wanted to go to.
Good luck to him. We have some great memories.
