By the looks of it, Austin's set to be announced tomorrow. And reverting to the games consoles; Halo is ****e. I ****ing hate it. Futuristic crap like that I can't stand. I even tell my family not to get my boys it on the Xbox in fear that I may throw it out of the window and accidentally reverse over it on the way to work... The only game similar to Halo that I can actually enjoy playing is Gears of War (1,2,3 & Judgement - got them all!) and that's because it's bloody, gory and full of swearing. Bags of fun. Other times it's all FIFA for me. Got a top quality Serie A team on Ultimate Team and recently beat some dweeb on Facebook Banter Page for a £100k wager. Back on topic...
I hope the Benteke situation doesn't impact on this, Villa were publicly supposedly keen on him earlier in the summer. It wouldn't be the first time someone has looked set to sign during a medical and then leave. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened to us this year....
I see they have indeed. I was going to say yesterday that the poster who said 'now the Austin deal is done and dusted' really spoke too soon. When will people ever learn?
Now these read that they were worried, with the latest one kind of an arm around the shoulder: Bianca Parker You Always make me proud, every dayxx love you 12 hours ago near Edenfield, England via Mobile. Long day biting nails 14 hours ago near Edenfield, England via Mobile. Fingers crossed and toes too!
If the medical has showed an issue with the shoulder (he had surgery at the back of Last season on it) then maybe we could offer a compromise IF Austin is that keen to join us. His wages get cut by at least 50% for every game he misses due to it. As an option. It is sad but it is not the first time a player has lost a move due to injury problems and it wont be the last. Austins shoulder will be a target for every defender he comes up against thats for sure. Once this becomes official it will make other clubs think twice and will have an impact on any transfer fee other clubs offer. If they offer.
**** ****, bet victor was about to pay me out, looks like he might be putting his money back in his pocket
If it is the shoulder then it's interesting that Burnley fans on their Mad forum flagged it up as a potential issue all along. There was even a thread 'what if his shoulder fails the medical?'.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Austin next ? Maybe he will stay @ Burnley and see out his contract. Plenty of takers when or IF he becomes FAT. Then again there maybe one club who take a chance ? Forest and or Lesta spring to mind ? Lol. I bet that Burnley would also not reduce the fee either. Hull City have done the correct thing in pulling out imo.
