Well, looks like I was right to be worried. You don't get a medal for saying 'I told you so' and I am really disappointed this didn't come off, but isn't it just ****ing typical? I really hope we can bring in a quality striker now. His injury must've been worse than we thought for him to fail completely, but I'll pissed off if he now signs for somebody else in the window. This might give us a kick up the backside to get another target in pronto; maybe somebody like Mboyo or Finbogasson. Or somebody from Brazil/Argentina who we can bring across. Perhaps even a raid on Egypt.... tally ho!
