No surprise, as he is the only decent striker available I believe.

Anyway, good luck Charlie.......bang in a couple for the three lions!

Good luck Charlie - a proper #9 centre-forward with a powerful shot, who soars like an eagle and is willing to chip in with other roles, for example as a winger, when he provided the cross for Matt Phillips to score against Newcastle.

    Congratulations to Charlie, thoroughly deserved.

If it does add a couple of million to his price our new FD & CEO will be rubbing their hands.

Leicester fan in peace. Pleased for Austin and hope he gets his chance. What are you guys thoughts on Vardy? The football genius's from the Hull board have been educating us on what a joke it is etc but a goal scorer like Austin and a grafter with as many assists as Vardy could be a great partnership (purely thinking the amount of goals they have been involved in between them). I certainly wouldn't object if we tried to pitch Austin (not that I think it'd happen or would wish that on you lot)

Another scenario could be that he was thinking of staying next season, but now he has tasted the England squad he will think that he must stay in the PL to get the chance of another bite.

I like Vardy, always appreciate a player who has had to do it the hard way, same as Austin, because they carry that work ethic onto the field with them which is something a number of prima Donna premier league players could learn from. I don't think I could say Vardy has done enough to warrant an England spot but hey Danny Welbeck never has so why should Jamie be any different.

Agree about Vardy................pace to burn, but probably not International level.

Disagree about Wellbeck. I'll never understand the criticism of such a talented player with an exceptional International goal scoring record.
