Sounds about right when he was 5 clear, Paddy Power tweeted the 1/8 earlier. Crazy stuff.

Haven't seen anything like that for a long time but it happens.

Well done Willett, fabulous round of golf..unusual Masters winner..28 years old with only 4 previous wins.

Poor old Speith has to hang around to present the Green Jacket..how awful will he be feeling.

Oh yeah forgot he's got to put the jacket on him aswell. I think he'll take the loss better than most though.

To compound matters,he's only on the 15th tee and over two holes behind the group in front such is his deliberate play.

An extra 30 minutes to think about his melt down.

Great the way the US TV take over and have us watch Johnson instead of Willett.

5 English players in the top 10. I think the poor weather probably had something to do with that, the yanks aren't as used to playing in windy conditions. European tour players in general did pretty well this week.

Can't be bothered to sift through this thread, but did anyone tip the winner? If so, a big well done, what price was Willett at the 'off'?

The depressing thing, after the bad start to aintree I with held betting and chucked the money on more losing horses. This just compounds the misery of waking up to see Willet win <laugh>

Skybet were offering 55/1 just before the tee off on Thursday. I looked, thought about it and decided not to. I had a very unlucky weekend when it came to betting.

    Feeling your pain brother.
I took 15/2 about Willett for a small EW 1-2 after he had parred the first 6. I just thought he was playing the most solid golf. Then Spieth went on his birdie fest and the betting went to win only when you could at one point had 20/1 about Willett. I didnt go in again! That EW covered my bets but I was willing Spieth to make 5 at the last as I would then have collected big time on my JB Holmes EW bet too.
It truly was sport of the highest drama. This will happen with Spieth as he has some very wild shots in his game. He got very lucky through 4 and 5 with a couple of truly awful tee shots that for us amateurs would have most likely been out of bounds. His luck ran out at Amen Corner but he will be back, he is made of stern stuff.

All hail the great city of Sheffield - Willett wins the masters, Vardy firing Leicester to the Premier League title. Any more for any more?

Couldn't agree more..he almost got away with winning with his "B" game as his fairways hit and greens in regulation stats exhibit.

McIlroy won the US Open straight after his Masters moment in 2011 and no reason why JS won't bounce back quickly after some work on his long game.
