They're from Hull maybe? Which one's the Blunts fan then in the Housemartins? Is it Heaton? Great idea though. Would be good to have it as the Club song, and have a bit more individuality rather than having another Club's song too. I like Wise Men Say but it shouldn't be the Club song.

Heaton is a Sheff Utd fan. For anyone with pubes...they are one of our main rivals. What's the connection with City?
Does everyone know its an Isley Brothers song and not written by the Housemartins? Not that i'm against it being used, its not as 'Hull' as you all seem to think it is. Its a christian song according to Wikipedia.
Chris Jasper who wrote it was trying to get his christian beliefs into his music according to Wikipedia
It has been sung by City fans for a number of years. It has more relevance to Hull then Deliah has to Stoke or Glad all Over does to palace or the chip butty song to Sheff utd......or wise men say to Sunderland......I could go on all night. It was recorded by a local group who all lived in Hull at the time, it reached number one and it has a good sing along chorus. I like 'the place of which we were born, so neglected and torn.....' because it describes Hull but then again I am very cultural and know about these things. Any City fan who has been away, the Ferry last Wednesday night being a good example, know that this song gets City fans on their feet. FFS give it a go.
I'm sure The Christians didn't do it, they did Harvest for the World which was also originally a Isley Brother's song.
I'm not against trying it , better than a Sunderland song The Housemartins were a very political band and Paul Heaton is definitely a Sheffield United fan but so what , what does 'Wise Men Say' have to do with Hull City ?
I ****ing hate that song. Reminds me of the flying pickets. At least Katy perry roar mentions a tiger.
Bit of a weird edit on Sound Cloud, but i assume we're playing the whole thing. Even if it fails supporters can still sing it at away matches. Afterall, "anthems" aren't forced on clubs, they're sung repetitively by the fans and they catch on that way. Can't believe some people are suggesting Katy f**in Perry.
I have always hated the group and I hate the song. If it is to be sung/played at home games is there any way I can get a refund on my pass? This will be the last straw, hearing a song sung by a Sheffield Utd fan. Once again this is an example of a "chosen few" thinking they represent "the fans".
