So after watching the match today with 6056 attendance, on boxing day, and with an average attendance of 5,726 over the course of the season so far, does anyone else think that if we lowered the price of tickets to a tenner we would get closer to capacity attendance?

My theory is that if we lowered the ticket price, boosted the attendance we would get more people watching the games, and more people buying a pie and a pint. This would probably be close to revenue neutral, but with the advantage of having a much better atmosphere.

What do people think?
 
2012/13 was 5735 average
2011/12 was 5769
2010/11 was 5875

at 17 quid a ticket at the minute i dont feel i was getting value for money. Its not even as if the town spend the money thats about, we just keep getting loan player in instead of using our home grown youngsters, or heaven forbid actually signing another player.
 
There is the early bird ticket purchases, buy more than two weeks in advance and pay a lot less for your ticket.

Agree though that they should perhaps do some sort of offer to get the fans in more regularly.
 
i would be happier if the chairman made some of the gate money available to wonga turner. by and large the gates are reasonable. spend roland spend.
 
.....and bring the 'old person's' rate down to 62 or even 60!

I'm as fired up about this as AJ is about the badge!!
 
I would certainly advocate being more inventive with offers. Reducing prices isn't likely, I suspect, but freezing them for a while, changing the pensioners' age and using the entitlement for 5(?) offers over the season to bring in as many fans as possible. I'd also suggest always giving away free tickets in Block 1 every week to schools and teams, rather than every few games. The dynamic pricing and student bracket are baby steps forward, but the club need to be more inventive with their initiatives to attract new fans both young and old(er).
 
I had the impression that prices had been reduced this season dependent on when you buy tickets. I had to wait until I was 65 to claim my cheaper admission. Why should this come down, when in every other area of society, age entitlement is going up?
 
i can assure everyone the badge is furthest from my my mind with the"R" word hovering around the meadow. rest assured the "B" campaign will be back in may. we could do with a win today. and roland send graham shopping on wednesday.
