Gutted for them. Really gutsy team full of triers. Hard not to admire them and offers hope for smaller clubs in all leagues that the impossible is possible. Hope Simeone stays with them and builds a top side there. For them to have broken the Duopoly in Spain against a Real and Barca with the resources at their disposal is phenomenal. Supposed side was put together for £40m and have a wage bill on par with Fulham. The team were out on their arse at the end after an epic season. Not like a bitter Tim to bear grudges though. Where do you get the energy to keep up all the hate.
I wanted Atletico to win too. Not old enough to remember the game Dev refers to but even if I was I'd still have wanted them to win. Argentina were a bunch of dirty ****ers in those days too but that doesn't stop Celtic fans taking the piss out of Butcher.
