I agree with Edge - believe or don't believe what you like and don't ram it down other people's throats. I must admit to getting pretty annoyed with those who think that their beliefs (whatever they may be) somehow make them better than those who believe something else. Now - who's up for a quick lunchtime hail mary?
Each to thir own. I don't know wht religious and atheist types get so wound up about each other. Live and let live I say. No-one knows what there is or what there is not and that's the way it will always be. Get used to it.
You're the one who started this thread and asked the question "are atheists abusive bigots who respect noones beliefs and think religious people are beneath them?" Your feelings towards non-believers are implied in that question. You come across as a smug, pious prick
Granted with the likes of the intolerant atheists on here like STD (intolerant in all ways actually) you have a point but the vast majority of us, like myself, manage to keep our minds open and not generalise and be flippant. You may well be right there is a God. I don't know. It's as credible as the Big Bang bollocks however.
I'm not looking to convert people here I just feel that after so much faith bashing we should have this discussion Every other thread has atheists calling faith a load of **** and calling God or Allah a sky wizard So, although its unfair to generalize, are atheists bigots in the sense that they think everyone else is stupid....less intelligent than them I'm not asking if you believe in god I'm not saying he exists and atheists are wrong I'm just asking, if atheists you know or have spoken to on here, are they accurately described in my original post?
