I've noticed that as well, but I can't explain it. Maybe it's like the transubstantiation dogma in Catholicism? If the wafer is eaten it physically transforms into the flesh of Jesus, but if taken out of the mouth it's just a wafer. We can never see the flesh of Jesus as it doesn't exist until it is covered by our digestive tract. Maybe this is the same as Donald's junk? Donald's dong is the Disney equivalent of a Catholic wafer: it doesn't exist until it is covered with clothing. Of course, if this was true, it would have hugely problematic implications for reproduction. We probably should stop talking about this, though, as (1) it's off topic and (2) Mickey's a mean mother!
