[QUOTE=gomarchingin; Not very bright are you, if you press next thread or previous thread you don't have control of which thread you come across it takes you to the next unread thread. The difference being that if you are on ignor you can't read what you posted.
Yes and we've discussed it at length. We will never know what happened or didn't in the window so we move on.
You aren't very clever are you? You've made your point, you're like a child. You don't need to keep saying it, we all know we could do with another defender or two, but we can't until January. Clyne and Yoshida have both improved what we've got, it's not like we neglected signing defenders in general. We get it, so please, just take your unintelligence somewhere else.
It makes me chuckle people who suppose themselves intelligent telling others they are not . Get real guys .
We're all concerned about the amount of goals we keep conceding. But you just go into neurotic melt-down and catastrophise everything, which is what seems to annoy the rest of us.
Ah, Groundhog day. There is a thing called freedom of speech which entitles folk to bang on and on and on about the same thing as often as they like. I defend this right to the hilt, provided they are not abusive. The rest of us have the right to think, "blimey, change the record, will you?" and not rise to it. As a Mod I can't have any person on my ignore list, let alone threads. You think you have it tough!
Hold up I get called all sorts on here , some jokingly or not thought up ways of death for me and yet calling someone a bellend for also abusing me is rather rich , since I have been away and cane back on I have not seen any hugely imaginative and thought provoking threads with 100's of responses .

It is a real pitty that there are such few reactions like this one. Have always said that football is a game foor 11 players which each have to do their attacking and defensive actions. On here a lot are only blaiming defence and defenders while the big problems are being caused by midfield and sometime attacking people, because they are loosing balls on very dangerous places and on very dangerous moments (mostly when midfield and forwars players are all moving forward). This makes our defence is a lot of times in minority and defenders have to make choices in covering people. It seams Nigel wants to play with an attacking LB and RB. Can be good if midfield is prepaired to do some defending when these people are going forward. This is not going well up to now, but i am sure it will come in time. So lets just stop blaiming defence and individual defenders, because it is not only their fault. Ofcourse, also our defenders are making some mistakes but are our attacking players always for 100% good?? Of course not, they also are making mistakes, are missing clear goalchances but apparently they are allowed to do that
Rather than waste any time answering that lot, I'd rather they looked forward and worked with what we DO have (rather than what you'd like us to have) and improve things. So in the same spirit, Gomarchingin, given where we are (i.e. no new players signable except those out of contract) what do you suggest as a solution? I suspect if you tried that approach, you might be received a little better.
So there are no reviews of transfer windows , of squad additions and probable future signings ? They must be ruing that they did not purchase more defenders but as you state that's water under the bridge , what we have unfortunately in my opinion is not good enough to sustain our survival , now people who say we will buy more on January are kissing the point as we had that time in the summer to buy new players .
And being received better is not really a concern to me at all , most appear on here to be kids who do not even play the game , well they play FIFA and watch sky but that does not count really .
Listen dear, if you set up playing a formation which looked like '4-1-forget the rest as they are over committed and out the game when we lose the ball' for the most part then the defence is going to get overrun even if you are putting together the best 4 individuals from the entire league at RB, CB,CB,LB. And that's assuming neither Clyne and Richardson has got forward so it's a best case scenario. You start with any 4 defenders in the league playing those tactics and you will let in plenty. You need a basic understanding of the game before slagging off the performance of the defence from the Everton game. We need at least 2 quality CDMs sat deep in this league and the rest of the midfield doing their bit defensively. Without Morgan we should have been packing the midfield even more that we have been, and he made a real rookie error playing a narrow and more aggressive formation when our best player in the midfield battle was out. Adkins got it wrong but he's learning and I can forgive him. The only alternative is to completely dominate the possession (something we aren't good enough to do yet). We will come good when Adkins sorts his tactics out.
Listen Mavis tactics or not Clyne should not be where he is , Fonte should not be in the team , Rodriguez should not be on the wing , you should pin all your premiership aspirations on a single player (I would rather pin it on 4 of the best premiership defenders) , what formation in the midfield and what players would you play ?
I shall also add Florence that playing two defensive midfielders requires counter attacking football on the break or I am missing something ? How would Lambert fit into this ? And you obviously want our lb/rb to become wingbacks as well ? You would obviously know this .
I dont think the problems are down to systems or formations its about individuals switching on quicker and dealing better in certain situations.Against Utd we did most things right other than showing real resilience at the death end of the game especially with the likes of Van Persie stood on your shoulder.Don't nod the ball into Nasri's path is another good idea, dont get caught idling on the ball as Fonte did v Wigan, also Bents goal against us for Villa was the result of schoolboy defending.Generally we have done well only to be undone by our own misgivings it must be pretty frustrating for all concerned.
