one of, based on last season and his nomination as one of the best 23 in the world. TBH there is no doubt about it, just ignorance on your part. Who are Liverpool looking into, we are linked with Modric and Mountinho aswell as Baines and some less likely ones. Modric is likely off to Madrid but we have a pull with Portugese players so Mountinho isnt to unlikely. Gilf, some Uruguayan kid and then who?
Yep, they probably knew it was happening hence the quick action in the market. 2 players who should cover the loss of RVP overall. Footballs a team game, individuals only get you so far.
Although I suspect we shall still lose this argument, it is about who you sign and the benefit to the team, not who you are linked with
A lot of teams get better once a star player leaves. Arsenal have even done it themselves in the past...Henry, Vieira, etc
Kagawa will massively benefit our team. Powell is one for many years down the line. True what you said, just winding barry up.
If we get Mountinho I will be happy. He will settle nicely with Rafael, Nani, Anderson all speaking portugese, De Gea speaking spanish and Rooney speaking Roonish. Evra speaks spanish aswell as does Park. BTW, I know spanish and portugese are different but they do share some things and they tend to be ok in communication.
Hmm... Maybe wording that a little different would be better eh...? They played better as a team but trophies would suggest they were not a better side
Hes ok aslong as no teeth get in the way, huge teeth, skyscraping teeth. Teeth that have their own area code.
Big players are key. It takes a fantastic squad to negate the effect of one leaving. After Viera left Arsenal they've never really replaced him, nor recovered. There is a stunning correlation between Viera's presence and Arsenal's sustained success. Henry, almost single-handedly, kept them in the top four, post-Viera; a feat which Van Persie has achieved, more recently. UIR's example wasn't the best as when Man U sold Tevez and stopped using Berbs (their top scorers that season) they then lost the title then next season; whereas, they won the title the season after selling Ronaldo - a better example, perhaps. Arsenal look to have some good youth players coming through, but is their squad strong enough to survive the loss of Van Persie without dropping down the table? I guess we'll see this season.
