Off Topic (At Least Partly) Come On Brighton!

Poor Brighton were ravaged by injuries tonight in their play off game. 3 subs, all forced, before the hour. Have to say that I found Sheff Weds footballing ethos most refreshing, having not seen much of them before. Solid throughout, but so quick and incisive front to back but via the midfield not hoof.
Well over 34,000 attendance, too.
Their manager seems a good bloke too - I wish them well

 

They are better off out of all that Premier league nonsense anyway.

Yep, really was Friday the 13th for Brighton, the fact that they had to play the last 30 mins with only 10 men, they´ll probably think they got away fairly lightly - get an early goal on Monday and they´re still in it.

Strange though that;
Hughton and Brighton = success (incl. goals)
and before that;
Hughton and Birmingham = success (incl. goals)
and before that;
Hughton and Newcastle = success (incl. goals)

so that ought to tell, even you, something or other, especially when;

Neil and Norwich, also = little success (minus goals)

 

Losing out on top 2 on goal difference then getting thumped in the play offs is not what I would consider a success.
They may turn it round next leg and I hope they do but it's stacked against them now I fear.

I think Hooper tweeting "what a shame " following our relegation was a blatant dig despite his U turn afterwards so I don't want Wednesday going up.
