Poor Brighton were ravaged by injuries tonight in their play off game. 3 subs, all forced, before the hour. Have to say that I found Sheff Weds footballing ethos most refreshing, having not seen much of them before. Solid throughout, but so quick and incisive front to back but via the midfield not hoof. Well over 34,000 attendance, too. Their manager seems a good bloke too - I wish them well
They are better off out of all that Premier league nonsense anyway. Hughton probably threw it to spare the fans the hardship that we endured under him.
Yep, really was Friday the 13th for Brighton, the fact that they had to play the last 30 mins with only 10 men, they´ll probably think they got away fairly lightly - get an early goal on Monday and they´re still in it. Come on Chris !!
Yes - awful wasn´t it? Strange though that; Hughton and Brighton = success (incl. goals) and before that; Hughton and Birmingham = success (incl. goals) and before that; Hughton and Newcastle = success (incl. goals) so that ought to tell, even you, something or other, especially when; Neil and Norwich, also = little success (minus goals)
Losing out on top 2 on goal difference then getting thumped in the play offs is not what I would consider a success. They may turn it round next leg and I hope they do but it's stacked against them now I fear.
I got up at 0400 as I do EVERY morning, hoping that I don't see anything as childishly insulting as that! There is no wonder you have been banished to GC only on numerous occasions, you just never learn no matter how many times you promise to not do it again!
Now ask yourself which of the two posts above are childishly insulting Dave ? Good job you are no longer a Moderator ,when you want to ban people even though it's YOU resorting to swearing and name calling.
At least there'll be a Canary legacy in next season's PL - even if it doesn't wear yellow and green any longer Brighton - Hughton, Crofts (if he's still playing) Hull - Bruce, Snodgrass Derby - Johnson, Butterfield, Martin Sheff Weds - 'free-scoring' Hooper. Not that any of that offers a single grain of consolation to sick City fans
I think Hooper tweeting "what a shame " following our relegation was a blatant dig despite his U turn afterwards so I don't want Wednesday going up.
How fortunate you now have your fellow RBF bashing friend as a moderator, we'll probably never get shot of you now!
Very good of you to get up at four in the morning to help me out with moderating duties on the night shift, though. And if you could avoid calling contributors 'twats', that would be good. RBF doesn't appreciate expletives all over the shop, there's a good chap
Just like you not to read the full story, I did explain why I wasn't leaving, but that would spoil your statement!
Thanks for the advice, wonder if I will take it on board! "Twat" does not count as swearing if it's the honest truth!
And I can tell you're mortally wounded by being tagged, ostensibly, as a woman's 'bits' You need a hide like a rhino in this game, SN
