There were days when we gave articles like this one the treatment ... if some of us remember.... https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=...6.636.7j1.8.0...0.0...1ac.1.9.img.aXmKG02dwMQ
Remember some of those recipes well Yorkie - so few wums these days One of the best things recently has been new blood here in the form of non Watford supporters - but sympathisers - eg Canary Dave and Maestro - but also some really good contributions from several Cardiff and Hull fans - we will miss them if they both go up and we don;t
Leo, you are all a very good bunch of people on this forum, you don't always agree with each other, but you don't get uptight and nasty with those that hold an alternative view! That is one of the main attractions for me, and as such, you will always find other teams fans willing to talk, even argue with you, in the knowledge that you will disagree in a respectful manner, giving your reasons and your own point of view! That is how a multi-forum site such as this should be! I've said it before, you are ALL a credit to Watford Football Club!
Well what a coincidence - I've been looking for Selhurst Eagle for years - but then i was looking under T for Twat!
Ain't you lot easy to wind up! So much hatred. So much venom and bile. I always thought you Italians were romantics.
How can it be a loophole if every other club could have done the same. Plus no one would even mention it if the players were no good and you were in relegation trouble. At least your board is on this site and active, you sure made us worry like no other team. As stated you and Hull are the other teams who deserve to go up and I hope you do. jck
Well that's very kind of you for saying so. Thanks very much. We don't deserve to go up though but I would take a flukey promotion if only for all the prem riches that would ensure our continued survival.
Udinese's incontrollable fanbase is notorious for starting riots. Particularly at away games. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs...-serie-match-precisely-one-fan-152055117.html
The financial side to it is overrated. L*t*n are directly responsible for the Premier League's existence. Fat lot of good it did them.
Totally disagree with you there. No fan of Sky or the prem but the parachute payments alone ensure a financially healthy championship side. As long as you have astute owners that don't get carried away by the glitz and glamour of top flight football. And as much as I haven't rated our owners managerial appointments they ain't silly with money.
We've gone up twice in the Premier League era, both times thinking that we had owners who would make sure the money went a long way. Both times we went down straight away, and both times we were on the brink of administration within a couple of years: in both cases due to overconfidence about how robust the club was financially. I'm not saying that will happen to Palace if you beat us to promotion, but ours is not an uncommon story.
What is it with this twerp - he comes on as Wum and then says isn't wumming easy - when in fact we have been mostly condescending or sarcastic in our responses to him. Yet suddenly he shows he can argue sensibly if he tries!!
If Jordan or Goldberg was still our owner then I would worry. Our new lot are a different kettle of fish though. If there's one thing I am certain of, and it ain't promotion, it is that our new incumbents don't throw their money about.
Dunno what wum means but it's only an internet forum, innit? The only scum who could wind me up are of the Brighton variety and I ain't going on their bit yet as they are now above us. Quite like the term twerp too. It's disparaging but not in an uncoof way. Still a bit hurtful though.
I hope you are right about that and that if you go up your owners don't make the mistakes ours did when we went up before
