At last!!!!

He will do the job. Someone else on here has already said how like Clough he is. Well. Keane was close. this guy in my humblre opinion is the nearest!

SAFC and Clough was the perfect marriage that never happened. This is the next best thing in my mind.

I'm starting to relax again!

Haha, I love how you keep bringing up my education. I didn't even bring it up. It was brought up by Vince. Not once have I said it was a **** article, and I did enjoy reading it.

And what is it with dickheads like you that go looking for trouble on these forums? You're always getting into arguments on here, with SAFCs supporters and Newcastle ones... Also, liking the sanctimonious little ****e comment. Made me giggle.

I'm sorry mate but you made a rod for your own back pulling someone on their grammar on a damn fine read.
Then not to expect it back when people notice your mistakes is rather naive.

Bob Murray brought us the best football we have seen at SAFC for a long time and that is what we ought to remember him for.

Bob's mistake was to choke upon the fear of relegation, failing to back McCarthy with a reasonable budget. He also realised when his time was up and sold the club to the best owners in the league which then led to Ellis Short's appearance.

Bob chiseled out the stonework which led to a very stable foundation, a foundation that creates the possibility for this club to fully realise its latent potential. His impact on this club must not be forgotton, although unfortunately some fans are unable to release themselves from the pain of those awful 1519 seasons. I'd say if anybody is unable to exercise themselves from those memories then they should focus upon the platform we have today. The realisation of the importance that Murray played in bringing us to where we are today is a genuine reason to bury the hatchet once and for all.

Murray did his very best and all things considered, his influence bestowed more good than bad by quite some way.

I think they were one of the first 'wet rooms' in Sunderland.

Mind you the flooding toilets in The Borough came a close second.

Pity the Borough was so far away from the Old 29, the wet shoes from there would have helped us not to have our shoes sticking to the floor in the 29. :)
Used to walk out an inch taller with the muck and glass. :p

The Old 29... was very dangerous to DMs back in the day!

I'm off out now but sadly most of the pubs I knew as a lad have become gentrified. Even the Ship Isis has just turned itself into a spinster's parlour.
