The membership scheme is actually a good idea. You can quit when you like, you don't have to commit to the whole season like before. That part is good. The prices for matches is also very cheap. Nobody is mentioning that. I think people are blinded by their hate for the Allams, they can't see the decent things they have done. Of course, not buying any players is a disgrace but maybe there are others reasons we are not aware of ? Players wages ?, players not wanting to come here ? Transfer fee's ? - the whole transfer market as gone nuts.
Yeah, I agree, getting rid of child, OAP and other concession prices, absolutely fantastic idea. Unfuckingbelievable some people.
**** sake. Blinded by their hate? Or seeing how many other fans are being ****ed over because of the membership scheme? You can't pick out the good bits in it and say well done Allams whilst there are people being priced out and moved out of (now empty a lot of em) seats they've held for years.
I know everyone is entitled to their opinions. Quite right too. But I have to say, those still scratting about trying to defend the Allams or trying to give them the benefit of the doubt over things are puke-inducing, servile, kow-towing arsewipes.
Quite by chance I became slightly ITK yes The fact you can cancel when you want is stupid for the club It leaves it wide open to protest cancellations, which even if I thought they were justified aren't healthy as a business model The prices are cheap now they've been subsidised by kids and pensioners...I don't personally think that's a good thing though
Come on Cas we all know those still defending the Allams are wind up merchants that support other Prem clubs. They get a kick out of it.
Unbelievable, how anybody on here can try and rationalise away our failure to sign any players without laying the total blame at the door of the Allam's is, to be quite honest, totally ****ing bizarre. There's apologists, and then there's Putter ffs!
Barton Town Old Boys @BartonTownOB Just a quick few tweets to apologize for any offense caused by our previous tweets, regarding the Ex-Tigers XI game, (1/3) Barton Town Old Boys @BartonTownOB We advertised as Ex-Hull City Tigers as that's the promotional material we were given, and didn't realize this would, (2/3) Barton Town Old Boys @BartonTownOB cause offense. It was genuine error and we've rectified it. Thanks for letting us know, we wish all the best for the event! Can't believe we're still putting people in this position.
Another good piece. HULL CITY AFC, A PREMIER LEAGUE TITANIC? By Peter Johnson On Saturday 28 May the good ship Hull City was launched into the Premier League, it's third voyage in these tricky waters. But at least the famous ship was well into it's journey when it hit trouble. The crew at the KCOM struck an iceberg before the journey had even started. The captain has made an honourable exit and as each day passes there are reports of some crew wanting to jump ship and men already overboard. At the moment the ship is bound to flounder, there aren't enough crew left to man it. But don't blame the crew! They have started the voyage in great spirits and remarkably have the ship bang on cause for a safe journey. The ship's owners were never qualified to oversee such a voyage. The ship has been in a bad state of disrepair for over two years and the owners may have been looking to scuttle it for some time. It often looked smart on the outside, but a closer look would have revealed it needed a total overhaul from top to bottom. Hull City fans have had more than their fair share of calamity over the years, but we are currently sinking fast. Despite Wembley glory and a return to the top tier, our Club is a shambles, with fan unrest, several planned protests and no signings. It is virtually civil war between our owners and our fans. This crazy situation stems from the FA's decision to snub Assem Allam's name change request. Our wealthy owners appear to have had their own agenda since this rejection. Rich businessmen can be irrational and vindictive if they don't get their own way. And it is the fans who have felt the impact of the Allams' wounded pride. Our owners appear to be intent on mischief, playing rich men's games and creating mayhem. They were never going to leave quietly, but they are clearly intent on destroying the club as a farewell gift to supporters. We can only hope a saviour is out there somewhere. Can the Premier League step in? Does anyone know what our owners really want? On arrival our owners Assem and Ehab Allam said they wanted to leave a legacy to the people of Hull. They could have been heros, but instead they will be remembered with bitterness and hate by the majority. Ironically they have made generous gifts to local hospitals and the university. But they arrived saying 'we are not football people' and sadly they will depart clueless, having learnt very little. The last 2 years have low points galore. A dreadful badge, more reminiscent of a Wolves badge, omits the words 'Hull City' or even 'Hull'. This omission is replicated in much of the Club's marketing with no obvious moves to ditch the outlawed rebranding. Our owners have never grasped or accepted the role of the fans, the community and local history and heritage, so have never got to grips with the off pitch side of the game. The club has been 'up for sale' for two years and more recently has been pursued by several overseas buyers. But it's unclear whether the Allams have wanted to sell at any stage. It may be they want to enjoy the publicity and fan anguish created by the continued uncertainty. Or did Assem Allam see football club ownership as a route to rubbing shoulders with dignitaries and celebrities to assist a quest for a knighthood or similar honours? Perhaps we will never know. Gentleman manager Steve Bruce showed huge dignity in his departure. Hull Ciy's most successful manager ever was eventually forced out after trying desperately to find a way to work with the owners. He did amazingly well but his patience ran out. It was remarkable he stayed as long as he did. Hull City needs stability, otherwise players and fans will depart in droves. Already thousands boycott home games, partly due to a quite ludicrous membership scheme, hurriedly introduced in order to annoy fans. It is the only scheme in Europe not to provide concessions and we understand it may already being investigated by Premier League officials. All this as the city prepares for UK City of Culture status in 2017. The admirable Hull City Supporters Trust encouraged a national media focus when Hull City started their Premier League campaign against Champions Leicester City on Saturday 13 August. Numerous protests and the raising of cards saying NO were the backdrop to a memorable win over those pesky Foxes. So surely someone or something can save us from further torment. It seems we are close to a takeover from a Chinese consortium. Buy our Club before any further damage is done! We are sinking fast and as you read this fellow fans are sending out an SOS. Enough is enough. We have the Football Supporters Federation supporting us and also fans of clubs around the country. Please support them in voicing your anger and let's rebuild our wonderful football club. It might be your club one day, so don't ever think it couldn't happen to you http://www.premierleaguepanel.com/hulcityownership
To be fair, if it did offer concessions then I agree - it would be a brilliant scheme and much better than the traditional season ticket. It's very forward thinking and with just a very simple amend it could've been great. But sadly they ****ed it, again.
