Ford Heath; the middle of nowhere
Finally, an away win! Only the second away game this season for me, so I picked a good one! Certainly a result few would have been expecting, and I think it's safe to say we looked inferior, but some excellent defending and goalkeeping also deserve credit - we didn't just win because of their incredible, scarcely believable profligacy.

The back four were all solid, although Goldson was poor in his distribution of the ball, almost always hoofing it straight out of play. Taylor struggled to get into the game as much as he has in recent weeks but put in a real shift as per. Richards was good bar one moment of madness with a backpass which presented someone (I think it was McSheffery) with a gilt-edged chance - fortunately he dinked his effort wide. Purdie was fairly quiet, Rodgers put in a shift despite wearing gloves and provided an excellent cross for the goal, Morgan missed some good chances and his passing was woeful, but he scored and gave their defence a torrid time with his work rate and newly found ability to win headers.

Lenny,
I think you are a bit over-critical of a few players but it must be Grandison who was flawless throughout and put in his finest performance in a Town shirt (and honourable mention should also go to his centre-back partner the much-maligned Jones)

Maybe so, I was trying not to get carried away in the heat of the moment but over-compensated! I agree with Grandison, although Weale certainly ran him close for me with an outstanding performance.
