If the pitch is fine then should be played, all this about surrounding area’s etc unsafe, we never had this years ago with all the snow, health & safety go a bit too far these days.
Well they haven’t looked after their pitch then, groundsmen should be ashamed. It’s well above freezing in the Midlands and thawing rapidly. Got the snow off the steps to my front door a couple of hours ago, a couple of bits of death threat ice lingered, went out for a bit (the roads are fine) and by the time I got back the compacted ice had melted away. If Wolves have PL ambitions surely they have undersoil heating and enough staff to clear snow?
It says frozen pitch on the BBC fixture list for today but when you open it up for detail it says postponed for safety reasons. Could be they have some key players injured like Villa.
I think they are more concerned about the paths and steps to the ground. When I left Villa last time the streets were packed. Any pushing or trouble could be very dangerous if ice is about. I think it is more of a precautionary measure.
Yeah, for Villa that’s probably right, plus if all the off street parking is snowed under it could get tricky. But I don’t think Wolves cancelling for a frozen pitch is very good in this day and age. Cancelling for fan safety would be a different thing.
